Music Commentary
Vir·tu·o·so (vûrchoo-o-so, -zo)
1. A musician with masterly ability, technique, or personal style.

Everyone has their own heroes, the people they admire for certain characteristics that they wish they had. Heroes don't always have to be famous, but it sure helps doesn't it!? Since I happen to be a big fan of music, I have my share of heroes in the industry, not all of them well known, not all of them I would like as a person if I ever meet them. All have contributed to one scene or another. This list consists of songwriters, instrumentalists, composers, and others. Yes, my list is full of opinion tied together with basic facts, if you don't agree with my ramblings, stop reading! Here is my virtuoso list:

Virtuosos

Bob Dylan - Folk rock icon for over 40 years.
Neil Young - Influencial songwriter across many genres.
Yngwie Malmsteen - Neo-classical speed lead a la Pangini.
Edward Van Halen - Reinvented lead guitar for the 80s & beyond.
Prince - Amazing pop composer and songwriter.
Marilyn Morrison - Singer, songwriter & bay area bass diva.
Bob Rock - Producer and Engineer for some of the top rocks acts.

Music Genre Commentary

In case anyone hasn't noticed this, I like to talk about random stuff. This is the place where I'm gonna rant about musical genres and subcultures that I have either studied, want to study, or got bored enough to make stuff up. The articles are written in my own words and are developed from my own research. Things get added here pretty much as I'm inspired to write them so check back often!

Paisley Underground - L.A. based psychedelic jangle-pop.
Shoegazing - British pop movement from the early 90s.
Iron Maiden vs Judas Priest - Heavy metal showdown
Top 80s Songs - Most recognized 80s songs and my favorites
