Your Virtual Guide to Flyfishing Arkansas' Blue-ribbon Trout Waters

Home Page

Winkley Shoal on the Little Red River When most people think of flyfishing, naturally they think of Montana or Wyoming. The best-kept secret in the angling world however, is Arkansas. Our "blue ribbon" tailwaters run clear and cold year round producing hefty rainbows, fiesty cutthroats, and brilliantly colored brookies, not to mention the last two WORLD RECORD browns.

Think I'll try....THIS ONE!

Here you will find maps, detailed river descrip- tions, fly patterns, and flyfishing techniques that are helpful to vacationing anglers as well as beginners to the "quiet sport". I have also provided links to sites that provide weather forecasts, river conditions, and fishing licenses as well as links to places to purchase gear and services for the fly fisherman. New links and information will be added as time goes by so be sure to check back often and please feel free to send me an E-mail with questions, comments or suggestions concerning this site or anything about Arkansas fly-fishing... If I can't help you, I'll find someone who can. Visit one of Arkansas' trout streams one time and I'm sure you'll be convinced that Arkansas was definitely... "Made 2 Flyfish".
