River Reports

Information on generation can be obtained by calling:
Little Red: (501)362-5150
Norfork and White: (870)431-5311

Little Red River:
Lots of Caddises hatching in the afternoons from around Lobo on down as well as small numbers of March Browns. Some midges are also coming off late in the day. Fish are being taken on size 18 Elk hair Caddises and size 16 March Brown dry-flies. Pheasant tail nymphs, sowbugs, lightning bugs, and caddis emergers are also working well. Low lake levels have meant only light generation, usually only a couple of hours daily, mainly in the morning. Generation on the weekends has been nearly non-existent.

Norfork River:
Lots of midges hatching during periods of low water as well as afternoon hatches of Caddises. Try caddis emergers and midge pupas early during the hatches and elk-hair Caddises, adam's, cream, and black dry midges during the heavier times of the hatch. Otherwise, use scuds, bead-head pheasant-tails and Candy's midges are working during non-hatch periods. Good periods of low water on the weekends and mainly afternoon generations during the week.

White River:
Generation has been a little less than recent years providing plenty of low-water periods for wade fisherman. Fishing is said to be good on high water with white wooly-buggers and other shad-type streamers. Caddis, march browns, and midge hatches are being reported as well as good success with various nymph patterns.
