Jo ~ I think LardLad was replying to a comment from me rather then thinking he wasn't ready for leadership. LardLad would be a great leader. Thanks for doing such a good job, Jo. There's a LOT of leaders around here. I've been wondering where EJ is, too. IP: Logged |

hi,everybody... I haven't been online for a couple of days, so I breathlessly logged on to see if I'd been accepted for membership, and I had ! hooray! I hope I can live up to this tremendous responsibility and opportunity. first, I vote for Shady. She's kewl. second, kbern, about your question regarding how long the message boards had been going on: I can't say how long for sure, but I used to post a lot when I was on America Online back in 1997. I'd say they'd been going on at least a year or two before that... third: I picked up some back issues yesterday-LotD part 2 & 3 and the first two post-Legion o/t Damned issues...I have a pronounced preference for the Coipel/Lanning-drawn stories. The amateur hour art on the other two wasn't much to my liking. I really hope Coipel and Lanning stay around a while...! chin-chin! ------------------ IP: Logged |

I was hoping to call you Stately Wayne Manor-Eater Lad (or SWM-EL for short) Ultra Jo, yes the limit for LMB members just ike the LSH is 25! After that, we will have to form the Legion of Substite Message Board Posters, the Posters of Lallor and the Uncanny Posters. We keep voting until everone has their say I guess. Isn't that fair? My part of the espionaige mission should be finished tomorrow. I have left Cobalt Kid on planet Kankoon (sorta the opposite of Kathoon) amongst the Babes in Loincloths League. The girls wanted to make him master of ceremonies for their annual mating ritual. He looked REAL happy when asked. I of course screamed and ran for the ship! Goon Boy reports no luck finding R Engine J. Brande as yet. An away team SHOULD be formed to get our inspiration back to this board!!! IP: Logged |

As Shady suggested in the Gates/Offensive Power thread, I'd like to nominate my son Dylan as team mascot! As I explain there, he has remarkable similarities to the Proty characters. If the nomination is accepted, he shall be called Pro-D! Let me know if he's accepted! IP: Logged |

If I may speak for the rest of the team, we would love to have the little guy as our mascot. Long Live Pro-D, mascot of the Legion of Message Board Posters!!! ------------------ IP: Logged |

Well, if Pro-D can join as a mascot, how about my sidekick? We could have co-mascots. And I bet Pro-D and Piddling Pup would get along GREAT together. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Founders of the Legion of Message Board posters' kids & pets: Dylan (aka PRO-D) Piddlin' Pup +++++++++++++++++++help Ultra Jo! I am too tired from the espioiage mission to properly keep track of events. Can I count on you for periodic updates of the LMB stats? Or are you off on the next away mission? Stately Wayne Manor-Eater Lad since you have not posted to deny your LMB codename I now officially and permantently establish it upon you! Shady: screw moving, the mb's are more important (or at least more fun) so.......I'M BAAAAAAAAAACK! IP: Logged |

Since Cobalt Kid christened me as a 'Brainy' I've been down in the basement trying to build a multi-lab (you wouldn't believe how hard it is to get Coluan-level parts on this backwater mudhole!). I even tried Brainy's approach of walking into a Radio Shack and demanding the base-parts, but they threw me out. I noticed a tall, blonde woman glaring at me powerfully- but I felt nothing! I guess this 'brainy' has a weakness for short, dark haired guys with soulful green eyes (know any?). I thought I'd try to come up with a new, improved flight-belt- but so far all I've been able to design are light-up weeding wands to aid in night-gardening. Unfortunately, a poorly dressed pack of middle-aged bikers and biker-chicks riding Goldenwings thought they were 'wedding wands' and took off for a Gatlinburg wedding chapel where they thought they'd be just the thing to illuminate their Elvis-impersonator officated ceremony! Ah, well- back to the Lab! I have a scientific rival who turns invisible (Wait- didn't *I* do that once, too?) to stay ahead of. For some reason, he has a headband fetish (at least he doesn't have a tuning fork taped to the middle of it), but he's cute, nonetheless. (Though he does display an alarming habit of digging through my trash! What in the Great Galaxy is he looking for? I'd buy him eggrolls, if he's hungry...) Oh, yes- my vote for LMBP leader goes to- MLLASH Lad- if you can tear him away from his 'espionage' missions' (I heard he just goes to the beach). If we can vote for deputy, I'd choose Shadowplay in Candlelight Girl (Sorry if I get your 'kids' and 'lasses' messed up- but, really- you expect me to keep up with these things when there are 'Anywhere' Machines to create? 'Anywhere' Machine- why stop there? Why not just ask for a Miracle Machine while you're at it?) If we aren't electing a deputy, then I vote for the creation of 'Morale Officer' for Shadowplay, as she brings a smile to even my crystalline lips. Election of the LMB leader: 1. Lardlad - 4 votes * = Tsarin Kid's vote went to Shady due to Lash Lad declining leadership role on team. The polls are still open......... kbern and Loser Lad have displayed the duplicate multiple posting power.......

I like Tsarin's idea of being a 'morale' officer. It's what I did for many years and it's more fun than being the one who tells someone they can't have any vacation right now. Is that all right with everyone? Thanks for adding in the humor at the end of your listings, Jo. IP: Logged |

Hey, if anybody is interested, there are refreshments in the break room. Fresh homemade bluberry muffins, fresh homemade cookies, fresh homemade bread. Anybody want lasagna tonight? Just an FYI -- Piddlin Pup (I won't call him by his initials) is looking awfully hard at the food! By the way, is there a call for the Legion of Message Board Posters? "Long Live the Legion" is already taken. Sort of. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Shady ~ you as morale officer could be great. You brighten up a board just by entering. You also seem to command a great deal of respect around here and on other boards. Thank you for being such a sweet person. IP: Logged |

Oh by the way i'm from the UK so i'm another non-american poster Goonboy referred to us as the non-humanoid legionnaires (tellus, quislet, gates and sensor) hey isn't there four non-american message board posters what do we call members of the legion of message board posters, by the way? I also think that we should have a legion of message board posters' pets pro-d and piddle pup can be the founders and my pet, Shelly the super-lazy cat can join IP: Logged |

Can't we put Brainy in the big dark damp cave that the subs aren't currently using? It's miles away from where he can do any serious damage to rest of us. Or we could use it as a warehouse for the LSB records (6 pages - wow!!). I've changed my mind about starting up the Legion of Super Pets - I don't get on well with other animals - *GASP* - I must be part of the White Octagonal!! *Howl* PS I vote Shady for leader - she seems the most likely to hand out puppy treats IP: Logged |

Lardlad & Shady: we as the 3 founders need to get cracking writing the Legion of Message Board posters constitution if you guys can quit flirting long enough ! JWB Boy & Kbern Kid sound like fine codenames for our 2 newest members. Tsarin Kid: If you have that much confidence in me I just might jump back into the campaign. What the hell right? Besides, I want the planetary Konk machine as a conversation piece in my den! Bellbookcandle Kid: report for duty please! Lev Lad: Does Shelly have any powers besides super-laziness? Although that power alone IS enough to qualify her ! IP: Logged |
