This Web Is Under Construction

Welcome to my home page. They say this page is where you get to know what I'm about and the purpose of my site. So here you are, a brief description of me and my site:

I was born and lived the first phase of my life in New York. I relocated to Pennsylvania 25 years ago with my husband and two sons. It's beautiful here, I love Pa. too!

And since I told you 25 years ago I guess you know I'm not a teenager. :)

I fell in love with computers at first site and they are my passion. I read everything I could find if I didn't understand something, took some classes and asked anyone with knowledge of computers a million questions. One very patient friend answered 999,999 of them,..... thanks, Art! I like troubleshooting, upgrading, building and loading systems. I also love to work with graphic programs and digital pictures. I love the way pictures come alive on the computer screen. I will use this site to share with you some of the images I've captured. I'll tell you the story behind the picts and some image editing tricks I've used. I'm not a professional, just an amateur learning how to use my digital camera. We've only had it a little more than a year. Our camera is a Kodak DC290 and we are very happy with it. The image quality of pictures downloaded at full resolution is amazing. I've added a variety of lenses and filters to use with the camera. We have 3 tripods; a table tripod, a standard floor tripod, and  one that mounts on the window of the Jeep. Tripods give you a solid platform, I use the timer when shooting on tripods so my picture will have no movement interfering with it. I'm working on getting a remote control for the shutter.

If you don't own a digital camera you can use any standard camera for digital images. Almost any photo lab today will put your picts on a floppy disk or a cd for an additional fee when you get your film developed. A scanner will also bring your favorite pictures in to your computer. So start creating a digital scrapbook on your computer. It's such a good way of sharing your life with friends and family far away.
