Megabyte, the Darth Vader of ReBootEvil and vile to the core, Megabyte is the true villain of Mainframe. His existence and that of his sister, Hexadecimal, is purely accident. Welman Matrix, a budding scientist of Mainframe, had created a portal device, and was about to test it, while in the far away Super Computer, a virus by the name of Killabyte was about to be executed by Guardian Dixion Green and Cadet Bob. Killabyte managed to free himself from his restraints, killed Dixion, and was sucked into the portal created by Welman Matrix. His arrival in Mainframe somehow split him into Megabyte and Hexadecimal, and inadvertently destroyed the Twin City.

Very good for making julienne friesMegabyte settled himself into G-Prime, and began his infection. He had thousands of viral binomes and CPUs under his control, obeying his every command. Two bumbling bots, Hack and Slash, were his top henchmen... somewhat. They were always ready to follow Megabyte's commands, though they sometimes questioned the ethics of the virus's schemes. Megabyte's other two right-hand binomes were Herr Doktor, a mad scientist of sorts, and Cyrus, a traitor to the end.

Surrender your PIDS!It seems the Megabyte's ultimate goal was completely infecting Mainframe, then to move on to domination of the entire Net. Assenting to his viral nature, Megabyte tried numerous plots and plans to take over the system, but each was thwarted by Mainframe's guardian, Bob, and his friends.

Still, the virus had one plan that succeeded. Mainframe had been invaded by a web creature. With the help of Mouse, the Mainframers managed to trap the creature, but it escaped and made a portal to the Web, making it possible for other creatures to arrive. Megabyte and Matrx in a duel to the deathDesperate, Bob and Dot made a bargain with the two viruses: Megabyte would provide hardware that could close the Web portal, and Hexadecimal would power it. The plan seemed to be running smoothly, but, being viruses, the sibling duo went turncoat; Megabyte threw Bob through the portal just before closing it and Hexadecimal began firing the hardware on the Principle Office. A game cube came crashing down on her, frying her circuits. Her brother whisked her off to the Tor, not out of brotherly concern, but to restore Hexadecimal and use her for her power.

Megabyte being dragged into the WebWith Bob gone, young Enzo Matrix, brother to Dot, was left as the system's only guardian. Megabyte took the opportunity to continue his infection of Mainframe, while the renegades, commanded by Dot, vainly tried to stop him. A firewall was set around G-Prime, trapping Megabyte and his troops within. Soon after, Enzo was lost to a game, along with Frisket and AndrAIa, along with the renegades, and Dot's, hopes.

Mainframe came completely under viral control. But Enzo, now a full grown renegade known only as Matrix, returned, bringing back with him Bob. Matrix engaged with Megabyte in a battle to death...Matrix finally gained an advantage, but allows the virus to live. Desperate, Megabyte tried to initiate a system crash, but was pulled into a Web portal. The Mainframers manage to restart the system, saving everyone. The imposter

Trapped in the hellish realm of the Web, User knows what Megabyte was exposed to. Whatever it was, his lust for vengeance was greater. He made his was back to Mainframe, disguised as Bob, using what is called 'trojan virus' abilities. The lie was so complete, even Dot believed he was the original Bob, and consented to marriage. Believing that his reckoning would be sweet and absolute, Megabyte did not take into consideration the resilience of the true Bob, or Glitch. At the wedding, it was Glitch that revealed the imposter, and sent Megabyte darting from body to body, hiding until his plan could come to fruition. It has indeed born bitter fruit; Megabyte, since his plots to rule Mainframe and the Net have been thwarted so many times, has decided the most gratifying revenge he can seek it to stalk the Mainframers like animals. The hunt has begun. He is the predator, and they are the prey.

The Hunt begins...
