Though a copy of the original Enzo Matrix, he is alike in almost all ways. He worships Bob (including the trademark babbling-Bob-tackle), itches to play the games, bubbles over with energy and curiosity. He is a reminder to almost all of what once was. Most of all to Matrix. The renegade sees Enzo as the weak, pathetic little sprite he had been, an annoying memory that haunts him at every turn.

But Enzo is not bothered by it, at first. Everything is shining and new to him, from the strange visitors (Ray, Mouse, AndrAIa), to the war with some virus he's never heard of, Daemon. Everyday brings new questions to ask and new things to experience.

Yet, as Matrix still does, he yearns to have a place, a function. He sees Matrix as his older self, not what might be his older self. Enzo tries to establish himself as "Little Matrix," but this falls through. He realizes he must follow his own path.

There is once major difference between the two. Though his hatred for Megabyte held, Enzo found himself an amusing new playmate in Hexadecimal. He, along with Bob, were the only ones to show her kindness and respect, and she repaid Enzo with a small gift which reveals itself later. He found that she had given him a small morsel of her finite power, and with it he was able to reincarnate his father, somewhat, in his null form.
