| Stay Forever and ever and ever.... The culmination of writers and Kylie's own hand at steering the album's influences through the late disco early eighties electronica fused with a 21st century pop edge has given Fever the wings it needed to breathe freely. Critics have praised the sultry and dynamic vocals and the musical arrangements, the fact that only one song is considered a half ballad "Fragile" is somnething of an amazing achievement when putting together 12 dance fuelled songs onto one album. For a fan like myself it is with a slight hesitation that I could easily say the Fever is her best qork to date, in many ways it is. Not all to different to the Rhythm Of Love period in her style and emotive just through the early bittersweet ballads from Stock Aitken and Waterman. Kylie has crafted with her experience the knowledge and understanding of how to make and sell a product finally. IIt is such a strong combination of everything that makes me rank Fever very highly. To have all my friends mention the songs the albums and be so positive is something that also helps the album's strengths. What it really comes down to is that Kylie's vocals are best suited to the triple tracker and the bass driven dance bests the Fever provides. However this website will alsways keep Impossible Princess to its heart, just as fever is the biggest selling Kylie album of all time making it a huge positive, the fact that not many people reached into the dark and moody and emotive songs that made up Impossible possibly make that an incredible moment in Kylie history. | Feel The Fever Just 3 mths after the end of the On A Night Like This tour, Kylie unleashed Can't Get You Out Of My Head to the world. The single became her biggest ever selling hit everywhere, including America which it helped to propel fever sales to 600,000 and the song went top 10 on the Billboard charts. In terms of success this album has delivered everything every fan would and could possibly want. In terms of budgeting and investment Kylie has finally been given some decent tools to work with. The video's are slick and perfected the new Kylie esque dance routines, and the outfits continue to shock, stun and make every man stare open mouthed at their MTV screens. The mass market has opened up with fever and the sales of now 7 million reflect just how many people have received the album with open arms. It has stayed in the UK charts for just under a year and is still top 10 in Australia as we speak. Its time you caught the Kylie fever? |
