A
NIGHTMARE

ON ELM STREET

1984 **** 92 mins.

It is irrefutable that this film is a masterpiece of motion picture horror. Sure, it may seem, on the surface, to be just some dumb flick with an un-killable killer who stalks innocent teenagers. However, there is so much more to this film that gives it a leg up on all other films of the genre. This film, actually, makes a lot of sense, for one. I mean, yeah, it's a bit out there, but a lot of the "dream" elements in it make perfect sense. I cannot help but thoroughly enjoy this marvellous piece of cinema that set the bar many notches higher for all other horror films.
Rated R for gruesome violence, language, sexuality, and brief nudity.
