EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY OF

SWAMI RANGANATHANANDA

Swami Ranganathananda was invited by several Universities, Colleges, Schools, Cultural Institutions, Administrative Training Academies and groups within and also outside to address them mostly on education.

At the request of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, he also undertook extensive lecture tours covering Japanese Universities, several South-East Asian Countries including Czechoslovakia, Poland, USSR, and Spain.

The Revered Swamiji has also given broadcast talks at the invitation of All India Radio. All his talks, lectures and works that contain lot of information on educational system (what it is and what it to be).

Swamiji's ideas bridge the past with the present. We find in him a true nationalist, who is inspired a lot by the ideas on education is nothing but an extension and complementary to the system of education, propounded by Swami Vivekananda. As far as investigator's knowledge goes, no one has so far attempted to present the ideas of Revered Swami Ranganathananda.

Hence, the investigator is tempted to undertake the task of presenting Swamiji's ideas on education to enrich the present Indian National Educational system which goes a long way to help the development Of Indian society.
