The Younger Gods

The so-called 'Younger Gods' are the generation that ousted the Elemental Lords, and took over their mantle as guardians of Erythia. They divided the labours of the Elemental Lords amongst themselves by lot, and ruled Erythia from the departure of the Elemental Lords to the Elemental Planes until approximately two hundred years ago, when they corporeally departed to prevent their squabbles from tearing Erythia apart in the way that the Elemental Lords had done so.
