The RMT

Over the past 150 years there was a permanent connection oversea between Ostend (Belgium) and Dover (UK) run by the Belgium government.
In 1971, this government service was given the name of RMT (Regie voor Maritiem Transport).
More than 50 ships have sailed on this historical route appointed by Belgium.
In 1996, regretfully there came an end to this tradition.
Luckily this line was taken over by commercial companies.
