| THE RUN |

| Ok, so there we are, stood in our house advancement room, our primaries listed infront of us with the satisfying 'Mastered' in place of the price. What now? Well you could put it off and continue to hunt XP's and advance by learnin off other people, which is both very expensive and tedious, or, you could stand tall, take a deep breath and face your fate........THE RUN..... Right, if you actually read the guild charter then you will know that its expcting a small miracle to get a step by step guide to completing the run here....yes, i am a wimp but until i start getting a royal from each person who passes me in the street then i can't afford the lives involved with telling you step by step...not to mention the fact that i'm a spiteful swine at times and go with the attitude of 'no one helped me do it so i'm not going to help you' ;P But....there again i have far too many soft spots, so i will help :) Lets start by thinking about the settings..... You know you will be on roof tops, potter on up to the roof and have a look what the settings are like...is it light? is it dark? what? Now, sit and think a little, this is the run, the famed ultimate test for all assassins, remember that guy who did it a couple of weeks ago? hrm wasn't he moaning about dying?....hrm 'do i have enough lives and money in the bank for more?' What else? well, theres that room that you keep entering accidentally when you go upstiars to the shops....its the library *nodnods* and usefully, its a library with only one book ! wow! that book must be worth reading if its the only one,. Well it is, its called the Cordat and inside it are the answers to all the questions you could possibly be asked by your examiner. Yes i know, and no we cant tell you the answer to that question but just say what it is you want to do to the secretary:P and make it plural ( you'll understand this when you do it) okies you've now begun your run..... alas i have to be vague now, very vague....I'll presume you're conversation with your examiner went well.....think about what has just happened to you. read exactly what it says on the screen as it happened, now think....if this were real life, what could you do to try and prevent this happening? you know its possible because there are lots of graduated assassins out there....think.....you are on your own here, so matter how absurd that idea is then no one will know if you try it anyway will they :P.....a good attitude to adopt here is to not so much as try and do the run in one go as to try and find out what it is.....see what you are up against and if you do it carefully then you never know, you might even pass it first time too..... As is commonly said on any page and by any assassin with regards to the run, the main advice is to LOOK at everything, pretend you're a playtester and trying your damndest to find a bug or typo, error of any description, and then, when you've done this for every possible thing on the screen and followed all the things within the descriptions as far as they go. THINK, try and imagine yourself in this position in real life...eeks no, infact don't, well unless you wash your own underwear :P....seriously though, all the answers are on the screen infront of you, all you need to do is see them. If you are not sure, or dont know, then don't try it on the offchance, not unless you are willing to lose a life. There is no time limit to the run and i know of no one that has said ' oh it only took me xx minutes or xx hours' so don't feel intimidated, take your time and get it right.... I guess there really isnt much more i can say on this subject, except maybe that the run is not the time to show off your 'style and flair for fashion' ....think about it:P Good luck. hrm...did i mention frustration? |
