TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

The strategic Plan of Nueva Vizcaya focuses on agriculture development while building on nature-based tourism.

The province prides itself with a number of natural attractions such as caves, springs, nature parks and other developed recreation centers and mountain resorts. Most notable of these are the Alayan Caves, Villa Margarita Resort, Banaue Resort, and the east outback of Mt. Pulag, the highest peak in Luzon.

Soon, visitors to the region, who will inevitably pass by Nueva Vizcaya via the Dalton Pass of the Maharlika Highway, will be welcomed by a one-stop tourist complex. A major feature of this complex is a one-stop tourism and investments information center.

The provincial government is also preparing a master plan to transform the former reforestation area which serves as the watershed of the Magat Dam, into a tourist paradise for nature tripping, trekking and camping. A cable car, if it would blend into the natural setting of the area, would be one of the main attractions.
