FOOD PROCESSING

The generally rolling terrain of Nueva Vizcaya has proved to be the most suitable to the growing of high value agricultural crops, vegetables and fruits such as ginger, onion, cabbages, tomato, oranges, mangoes, guavas, pineapples and balimbing. The rare fruit Dagwey is not commercially grown but thrives only in the forest of Imugan, Sta. Fe.

These and other raw natural resources have encouraged and setting of small-scale food processing firms. These food-processing firms not only make jams and jellies out of exotic fruits such as dagwey and guavas, but also from flowers like the hibiscus (gumamela) jams and jellies
