sealed the gown adventure on december 12 with
a visit to my gown designer's (Edd Sy) shop |
Like any bride-to-be I am both excited
and undecided as to choosing the best and hopefully
getting the dream gowns in town. Hmm…a lil bit
early, huh?! But hey, there’s nothing to lose,
especially when one task leads to more. Some of my friends
have graciously helped me call and canvassed couturiers.
Finding the right fit and design was a quite a thrill
afterall.
My friend Philip and I went to Malate
where most couturiers have their shops. We went to survey
them just to get ideas. Family and friends handed-in
their suggestions, until the final creation was made.
It was on November, during the wedding of John’s
sister, Chiqui who made herself real life ‘evidence’
of how the gown is perfectly made. There she gave us
real nice tips and recommended Edd Sy (the designer).
In the next few weeks, we visited his shop and there…
my dream gown was sketched! Okay, right on. We sealed
the gown adventure on December 12, with a reserved bridal
package gown.

| a
visit at fernwood to check on the reception set
up |
One weekend, we decided to check out
a bridal fair at the Podium. In that occasion we intended
to scout for a videographer, photographer, florist and
souvenir. However, we ended up signing reservations
for cultured butterflies and real nice gimmicks. The
wedding preparation was becoming more exciting than
I thought!
Big chunks of our itinerary for the
next few weeks were spent on fixing our schedule, and
food tasting. We also visited Fernwood to check on the
reception set up. We reviewed our list of (what seemed
to be) endless concerns and it reminded us to settle
the food matter. So, after three food trials along with
few family members (who likewise enjoyed the experience),
we chose Hizon as our caterer. Good thing, though, this
reservation thingies really shielded us from all price
increases for the coming year. So there…good tip
for future planners out there!
