Come the month of June, we managed
to take greater responsibility towards arranging our
marriage license in the city hall. A week before that,
John dropped by the civil registrar’s office to
inquire about the list of requirements, to enable us
to prepare them beforehand so as to optimize our time
of actual seminar visit.
So there, on June 3, during John’s
28th birthday we zoomed our way to Caloocan City Hall
to sign and process all necessary papers. We were quite
amused to see that there were so many of us applying.
There was a long stretch of line for us to finish before
our turn. (“Hmm..what’s with this year?!
They were like lining up for some bank withdrawal we
chuckled).

During lunchtime we went to SM Fairview
and treated John for a hearty birthday lunch together
with his dad to celebrate his birthday. But fun time
was short-lived when we immediately attended the seminar
in the City Hall set that afternoon. The place was filled
with quite a number of couples-to-be…(well with
a few of mothers-to-be...ho-hum..) In the afternoon
we went to Edd Sy,our couturier to do my first fitting.
There were few alternations to make it thigher (yes!)
but it was such a wonderful feeling! They are now onward
bound for bead works.
On June 13, we went to the print shop
located at SM Megamall for our wedding invitations.
There we finalized our chosen design and handed it over
to Vcraft. We then bumped into a jewelry shop at Gioelli
and were amazed of the good deal we received for wonderfully
crafted diamond designs for the wedding rings. Convinced
we ordered our wedding rings had our finger measurements
taken. Afterwards we met Kuya Fel, his wife and Ate
Lorie for a get-together as a courtesy visit at Burgoo,
The Podium in Ortigas. It was fun as usual—they
shared and enjoyed learning about their great love story.
We met Kuya Francis and his wife Ate
Jojo on June 16 in Makati, after our work. They are
one of our principal sponsors. We’ve known them
for a long time since they are part of the organization
we are into currently. This group is called Influencer’s
International, here we had a good glimpse of the many
wedding experiences the members have had. We learned
a lot from them, now that our own “time”
has come too.
Moving on, we visited Fernwood to fully
pay our venue rental last June 21. Our friend Mai, (one
of our bridesmaids) were there too. We took some pictures
intended for the souvenir items and a trip around the
area to plan for the table arrangements.

In the afternoon of June 24, we had
another counseling meeting with Ptr. Clem who just came
from a two-month trip from the US. Our almost two-hour
discussion and sharing was meaningful as ever. We were
even given “home works!” Ptr. Clem, a professional
counselor himself asked us to do a genogram (eh?!) It’s
actually a flow chart type of our family’s root
and background, which included our family’s culture,
moral values, even medical history among others, which
were all vital factors to learn about one’s future
families-to-be.
After work last June 27, Friday, we
went to Quezon City to pick up our souvenirs from Sonny
of Excel Frames. From his house, we ogled to see souvenirs
items crafted and designed remarkably! We were happy
for his services and were amazed to see the products
we have ordered done promptly. Sigh! At least for now,
a lot of item has been crossed out from our list. More
and more tasks have been accomplished as scheduled.
Right on!
