JOE'S FAVORITE 50 RAP SONGS
Welcome to the rap page.  This is not the best rap songs of all time.  It is my favorite rap songs of all time.  It is strongly influenced by when and where I started listening to rap.  Certain songs that definitely should be on any rap list were neglected.  The main exclusion from my list is old-school.  Other exclusions that I just never got into: Wu-Tang, Busta Rhymes, Beastie Boys, probably Method Man and hmmm.....Ludakris, and some more, and Nas, and most of  Biggie.  I know the songs.  I just never got into them for some reason.  Also, some people were underrepresented.  I usually really like Jay-Z's albums, but no songs jump out at me that I want to listen to over and over again.

People like Rage against the Machine and Kid Rock didn't make it for some reason, even though they are rapping with rock beats (like the Beastie Boys).  Kid Rock could have done well on this.  I guess maybe they didn't make it because songs that they do seiously rock, and the music makes it what it is more than the music in Beastie Boys.

Again, I don't like the Beastie Boys.  They won't find too many spots on this list.  The reason:

Blahdy-doddy-doddy dobby doot doot
wack!!!!!
Dooby-dooby-dooby booby woot woot mack!!!!!
All that
sack!!!!!!! (sack!!!)
You got smack!!!!! (smack!!!!)
nooby-diddy walla walla
fruit-toot gack!!!!!

Every song, I swear.  This format.  I don't need one guy yelling at me and then three guys yelling the same thing at me at the end of every line.  I just don't need it.

Honorable mention goes to Will Smith.  His songs are always fun, but they really don't have a place on the list.
Nothing from the Ruff Ryders is here, but I like Eve.  Nothing from Puffy is here, though his stuff could be fun sometimes.  Nothing from Ma$e here because his job is to talk and dance but he has a speech impediment and moves like a retard.  Nothing from Missy here.  I just don't appreciate her like some seem to.  Nothing from _______ is here because I forgot about them.  There's lots from Bone here.  And Eminem.  They're my favorite.

If a song's lyrics are just ridiculous, I don't care how fun it is.  It's not gonna do too well.  See Mo' Money Mo' Problems.  They don't talk about problems.  They just talk about their money and always show us their watches.  It's a ridiculous song.

That's all I have to say.  Without further ado:
