All these 2-Pac songs.....So much better than the other songs. I feel guilty putting these songs this low, but they're honestly not my favorites. If this were a "great song list", 2 Pac would own my top 10. First verse, telling the ladies to keep their heads up. Second and third verses are kind of mixtures, telling black people, poor people, and women again to keep their heads up. Another great line: "I remember Marvin Gaye, used to sing ta me. He had me feelin like black was tha thing to be". I like it especially because I think Marvin Gaye is one of the most influential musicians ever. Another one: "Some say the blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice. I say the darker the flesh then the deeper the roots". Yee ha. Yee. Ha. Po Pimp Do or Die f. Tung Twista "The broad all up under me tryin ta smother me Lookin love-ly while I roll another bead, suddenly She learned that I don't deal with emotions But when we in the room she rubbin me with lotion Comin' like an ocean coastin have a cig thinking Me and Do or Die dig drinkin love potion" People around here don't know about this song like I thought people everywhere know about it. It's the one with P-I...M-P...ology.....blah blah .....Do you wanna riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide.....the best part by far of this song is Tung Twista's part. The above quote isn't too great. It's how he says it that makes it great. This page consists only of songs I like a lot. These are the songs that I'm sure would be on my favorite 50 list, no matter what songs I hear in the future. I'd recommend you go listen to these songs if you haven't already. If you haven't noticed, I'm avoiding talking about this song kind of. There's just not too much to say about it or Do or Die. Except maybe that this C.D. has a cool intro explaining alpha-omega and everything....there's another cool song, but it never became good, and I don't remember if it was better than this song. I don't remember the name either. I can't find it, mainly because I haven't tried. Next song. From Marcy To Hollywood Jay-Z f. Memphis Bleek, Sauce Money "I got relaxed put my feet up start dissin' my friends And that's when the ceiling fell in" Another one that Qudanny hates. Once again, I hate Qudanny. I like the simple piano background, and the simplicity in general of this song. This is definitely one of my favorite Jay-Z songs. That's why it's on this here list. I'm not sure that it was ever released, but as usual, I'm not gonna find out, and will probably never know. Bone rules! G' Funk Intro Snoop Doggy Dogg f. Rage "Grand, slam, yes I am Kickin up dust and I don't give a God damn" The best intro to any C.D. ever. I don't care what you say. It is. I only found out recently that it's just an intro. It should be a song. Another great quote is from the intro guy: "Get your pooper scooper Cuz the nigga's talkin shit..ahhh-ahhhh-ahhhh-ahhh-ahhhhhhhh". Man, is this C.D. great! There are still a couple songs that haven't been listed off this C.D. Or not. See? I keep ya guessing! That's why you love me. Lodi Dodi Snoop Doggy Dogg F you, Snoop. I feel betrayed. Hail Mary 2-Pac f. Kastro, Young Noble, Prince Ital "I ain't a killa but don't push me. Revenge is like the sweetest joy, next to gettin' pussy" This is the first song that I didn't have to hesitate in my quote choice or look up lyrics to make sure I got it exactly right. In my mind, this line is one of the best lyrics ever. The song starts with the slow beat and kind of a heavy musical tone, and the church bell in the background. They start the chorus quietly in a kind of solemn tone, and 2-Pac starts with this line. This song would make the list even if the rest of the song was terrible. This is one of my favorites by Pac, and though I know it isn't one of his greatest, it will always beat most of the others for me. Page 5 |
