| Welcome to the FAFG |
| Whew, I didn't think we'd make it. It may be the most cliche way to start a season off, but man did we ever miss the game. The 2003 college football season is finally here, and the sages are more ready than ever. If you are not familiar with the FAFG, why don't you check out last year's page. It has a good explanation on what we do and how we score things: FAFG2002. In short, we, Sage Phil, Sage Kris, and Sage Joe, try to beat two experts, www.collegefootballnews.com and the CBS Harmon analysis in predicting college football outcomes of 10 games every week. There are 4 'showcase' games each week, the ones that absolutely have to be covered, and then we each pick 2 games that we would personally like to analyze. We do all of our work before consulting the experts' pages. There have been a couple key changes to this year's FAFG. The first and foremost of these changes is that we have lost a sage. Sage G was simply too busy last year, what with helping our Terps be all that they could be. In his place this year will be Sage Kris. As irreplaceable as Sage G is, Sage Kris is ready to take the reins. Much like a talented NFL backup QB, he just had to wait for his time to shine. We're sad to see Sage G go, but we're excited to have Sage Kris on the staff. Secondly, there has been a change in the scoring. Instead of 15 free points, we will only receive 5 points. We should still always manage positive scores, and if we do get negative, we really deserved it. I feel that this will make each week feel more crucial, in terms of scoring. Unfortunately, the results of the 2002 FAFG final standings were lost, or never even posted if you're keeping track. Managerial duties will be split up mo' betta this time. Here's a link to ESPN's college football schedule, for easy consultation, as well as the scoreboards on ESPN, Sportsline, and Yahoo. Also, for your viewing pleasure, some standings, courtesy of Sportsline and ESPN. |
