Preaseason Commentary
Title Predictions:
Someones coming out of the woodwork to win it all.  No teams that begin with O.  But forget about looking at favorable schedules, etc.  Well, dont forget about it, but every time I use such things to try and pick a championship winner before the season begins, it never works.  So, lets just say..Texas?  No, I hate them.  Maryland?  Notre Dame?  Pitt?  That wont work, because if I pick a team I really like to win it all, theyll lose in the first few weeks of the season.  Auburn?  Too trendy.  K-State?  Trendybut not too trendy.  Theyre in.  Theyll defeat NC State for the title.  Yes, I know they go to Ohio State, and theyll probably lose.  Dont care.  This is very hard to do.  But thats just one of the major things that make college football the best sport.

A few players that make college football great, obvious superstars excluded:
Jared Lorenzen, Kentucky QB - (Yes, Ive called him a fat-ass, but I always meant it in a lovable way, as if I were joking with a friend.)  Hes not around the 300 lb. mark anymore, but I still think hes the cats meow.
Steve Suter and Derek Abney, Maryland and Kentucky PR/KR/WR These guys.  Little guys who fly, returning kicks for TDs.  I love them like I loved Vinny Sutherland at Purdue.
Rod Rutherford and Brad Smith, Pittsburgh and Missouri QB Great athletes at QB, in a position to have a special season for a team in a major conference.  How far will their talents take them?  I sit and I ponder.  And I smile.
Chance Harridge, Air Force QB Im a sucker for anyone that can run a great option attack.  Actually, thats an understatement.  Basically, the option rules and Chance Harridge is currently the king.
David Pollock, Georgia DE Ya ever hear of that time-honored clich, this guys got a motor, as if he were some machine.  Well the jig is up.  DAVID POLLOCK IS A MACHINE.  Jowjah!
Michael Turner, Northern Illinois RB Turner the Burner.  You gotta love that.  And you also must love dynamic RBs who rack up huge stats in an underrated conference (the MAC) while thinking, if this guy was at (Insert large university here), hed be a superstar.  But sometimes its better this way.  He is a superstar, even if you dont know about him.
Karlos Dansby, Auburn LB Hes already a great player, and much like Razor Ramon was oozing machismo, this dude is oozing potential.

If this years teams were upcoming movies:
Ohio State The Lord of the Rings:  The Return of the King
Oklahoma The Matrix Revolutions
Texas The Last Samurai
Miami The Alamo
Auburn Kill Bill:  Volume One
Pittsburgh Big Fish
Kansas State Master and Commander
Maryland The School of Rock
Missouri Bubba Ho-Tep
Notre Dame Stuck On You
Arizona State Shaolin Soccer
North Carolina Marci X
Duke Dickie Roberts:  Former Child Star

She get it from her momma.
