| WEEK P |
| Only two games for week p this year. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- California at Kansas State (7), (6) Final Score: Kansas State, 42-28 Harmon: CFN: Joe: Kansas State, 42-6 2.3 points California went 7-5 last year but will be hard-pressed to build on that success after losing 24 seniors. There are just three returning starters on defense, and six on offense. Kansas State is in a similar position, finishing first in points scored with over 40 ppg, and second in points allowed (like 10 ppg) last year. They return a Heisman hopeful in Ell Roberson and a Heisman dark horse in Darren Sproles. Much of the defense is back, including possible all Big-XII OLB Josh Buhl. Wait. They're not in a similar position at all. Kansas State will amass 270 yards on the ground in the year's first blowout. Kris: Kansas State, 52-7 -0.4 points Is this really necessary Bill Snyder? This game wont be close for more than 4 minutes, guranteed. Ell Roberson and Darren Sproles will put a hurting on Cal the likes of which they feel all the time. Kansas State by K.O. in the second round or 52 7 for those not keen on the boxing analogy. Phil: Kansas State, 42-6 2.3 points Ah, a good old-fashioned beatdown. Sproles and Roberson could both run for triple-digit yardage in this mismatch against a young defense. Cal's offense is largely untested as well, with no more Kyle Boller to carry them. The Golden Bears might not score. A possible national championship run starts here. Opening games, you disappoint me, but I'll be watching anyway. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Grambling at San Jose State Final Score: San Jose State, 29-0 Joe: San Jose State, 28-14 4.2 points Go Sharks. Oh. Spartans? Never mind then. I don't care. I imagine I would have had a shot of making these teams' third string. Kris: San Jose State, 32-13 4.4 points San Jose State won 6 games last year despite having nine road games. I know nothing else about either of these teams but I expect that little fact there makes San Jose State the winner by a score of 32 13. Phil: San Jose State, 35-21 2.8 points This is how we open the season? I think it's a plan to try and keep us fanatics from getting too excited. Nice try, powers that be..we know Washington at Ohio State is near. I know little-to-nothing about the two teams in this game, but I do know San Jose State backs down from no team. They played at Washington and Ohio State last year. It's that factor vs. a team coached by Doug Williams, the Super Bowl-winning Redskin QB. I know Grambling has improved under Williams, but I think San Jose State's experience against tough opponents last year should be enough to propel them past the Tigers. |
