Day 43: August 21, 2000

Halfway thru my Second Challenge..... It is time for some pictures..... Going to take some this week and get them posted at the end of the week or on next week's update.  Today, had an awesome Upper Body Workout..... I felt real strong, despite only having three meals in the day prior to going to the gym.  My workout tonight consisted of the following:

Chest: "Hammer Strength" Incline Presses & Cable Crossovers
Shoulders: Side Dumbbell Laterals & Front Dumbbell Raises
Back: Lat Pull Downs & Stiff Arm Pull Downs
Triceps: Reverse Grip One Arm Push Downs & Overhead One Arm Extensions
Biceps: Standing Cable Curls & Double Biceps Curls

Tomorrow, I will definitely get back in to the gym for my cardio workout, even it has to be late.  Can't wait for the kids to go back to school.... Cause then I will be able to get to the gym in the mornings again for my cardio workouts..... Till then.... Onward..........

Day 44: August 22, 2000

As I promised myself, I got back into the gym tonight for my cardio workout.  Did 35 minutes on the Stationery Bike.  Broke out in a total sweat and it felt so good.  My shirt was soaked by the time I was done.  

Tomorrow, I will be back for my Leg & Ab Workout.......

Day 45: August 23, 2000

Got my Legs and Abs done today.  Felt real good throughout.  Was totally focused on my movements and the working of the muscles.  

Quads: Hack Squats & Leg Extensions
Hamstrings: Lying Leg Curls & Glute Extensions
Inner/Outer Thighs: Leg Abductions & Leg Adductions
Calves: Incline Calf Raises & Donkey Calf Raises
Abs: Cable Crunches & Lying Bent Knee Crunches

Day 46: August 24, 2000

Missed today's cardio workout.... I sometimes feel I am losing my focus of late.....  I think I have to change my routine a bit.... Part of my losing my focus I think stems from my progress slowing a bit.... I have definitely hit a plateau.  

So it is definitely time for a shake-up.  For the next few weeks, I am planning to focus on specific body parts in my training as opposed to Upper and Lower Body workouts.  I need to make a change!!

Day 47: August 25, 2000

Did 30 minutes on the Stationary Bike to make up for yesterday's missed cardio workout.  I am working out my new game plan for my new workouts.  Once the kids go back to school, I will return to the morning cardio workouts, getting them in about four days a week.  I will return in the evening for my weight training focusing on one or two body parts each.

Day 48: August 26, 2000

Got a partial Upper Body workout in today.  I did Chest, Shoulders and Triceps.  this was not the official beginning of my new routine.  I am saving that for next week.  What I did today is as follows:

Chest: Incline "Smith Machine" Presses, "Cybex" Chest Presses (Machine) & Cable Crossovers
Shoulders: Seated "Smith Machine" Presses, Side Dumbbell Laterals & Bent Over Rear Dumbbell Lateral Raises
Triceps: Reverse Grip One Arm Push Downs & Overhead Cable Extensions

Day 49: June 4, 2000

Off Day today, even though I should have gotten to the gym to do a make up.  Getting myself set for the change over...... Till then.......
