Week of: August 7, 2000

Day 29: August 7, 2000

Was back and was stronger than ever for my Upper Body workout..... I have a possible boil on the center of my back, so I skipped the back exercises for today.  I have another appointment tomorrow with the doctor.  I went to the doctor's on Saturday, and she drained it but it seems to have swelled back up.

Chest: "Hammer Strength" Incline Presses & Pec Deck
Shoulders: Seated Smith Machine Presses & Dumbbell Front Raises
Triceps: Triceps Pushdowns & Overhead Cable Extensions (Rope)
Biceps: Incline Dumbbell Curls & Standing Alternate Dumbbell Curls

Day 30: August 8, 2000

Went to the doctor's today for the boil on my back and once again, she drained it out.  It had swollen back up again and I have set an appointment with a general surgeon to have them look at it.  There is a possible cist there and need to have it removed.

Missed today's cardio workout.  Was planning to go after taking the kids to the park, but on the way home, the mosquito's were out in force and the kids got numerous bites.  So, had to help take care of them...... Will tack on the cardio on to tomorrow's Leg & Ab Workout.

Day 31: August 9, 2000

Back for another Leg and Ab workout.  Was feeling good today but decided to concentrate on the Leg Extensions tonight so I didn't have to put too much pressure on my back.  The swelling doesn't seem to be coming back this time but better safe than sorry.

Quads: Leg Extensions & Cybex Lying Leg Press Machine
Hamstrings: Seated Leg Curls & Glute Extensions
Inner/Outer Thighs: Leg Abductions and Leg Adductions
Calves: Donkey Calf Raises & Incline Calf Raises
Abs: Cable Crunches

Also threw in 20 minutes on the bike to get some cardio in being I missed yesterday.  It was definitely tiring.

Day 32: August 10, 2000

Once again, skipped today's cardio, but will add it on to tomorrow's Upper Body workout.  I also have another doctor's appointment for the boil, which is not swelling as much now.  Guess she did a good job on Tuesday

Day 33: August 11, 2000

The swelling is all but gone, and the boil has continued to drain over the past few days.  Went to the doctor today and there was not much that need to be done.  My doctor has now left the call up to me for Monday's appointment with the surgeon, but I will probably go anyway, just to be sure and have it checked out.  I had a boil like this in almost the exact same spot about 8 or 9 years ago so I will probably definitely go.

Today's Upper Body workout once again included back exercises as well as my makeup for cardio.  Another 20 minutes on the bike.  It was a bit easier today on the bike being I hadn't trained my legs.  That was definitely the killer on Wednesday.

Chest: "Hammer Strength" Incline Presses & Cable Crossovers
Shoulders: Seated Smith Machine Presses & Dumbbell Front Raises
Back: Lat Pull Downs and One Arm Rows
Triceps: Triceps Pushdowns & Seated Overhead Cable Extensions
Biceps: Preacher Cable Curls & Standing Alternate Dumbbell Curls

Day 34: August 12, 2000

Had plans for tonight after my Afternoon Magic at Wendy's, so once again skipped my cardio.  Gotta get myself back on track with the cardio though.  Can't keep this up like that.

Day 35: August 13, 2000

Today was my Off Day and took advantage of it.... I had a few strips of bacon this morning, and I had McDonald's Chicken McNuggets tonight for the first time since beginning this journey.  They were crispy, just the way I like 'em but to be honest, I don't miss them.  It was a nice treat, but I can honestly say, I can do with out them.  Guess I am really breaking out of some bad eating habits.
