*Dumbledore is talking to Harry in the middle of the book about why Harry can speak Parlseltongue. He explains that Lord Voldemort was the last remaining ancestor of Salazar Slytherin. He probably means descendant instead of ancestor.
*In the first book Nearly Headless Nick says he hasn’t eaten in four hundred years but in the second book they are celebrating his five hundredth birthday.
*On page four of the American hardcover book it says that Harry was left at the Dursley’s house eleven years before but then it says in the next paragraph that he spent ten years with the Dursleys. Where was he for the one year?
*In the first edition of the American paperback in the way back of the book advertising for the third Harry Potter book it says that “…After accidentally inflating his horrible Aunt Petunia…” He inflated Aunt Marge.
*In chapter ten the American version has a picture of Harry’s left arm boneless while it says in the book, “…His right arm was dangling useless at his side…” on page 171
On you site you said In the first book Nearly Headless Nick says he
hasn’t eaten in four hundred years but in the second book they are celebrating
his five hundredth birthday. Well he might be 500 hundred but he may have died
when he was a hundred, then he would have been able to eat for ine hundred years
before he died, also he might have just said 400 years but does it say only 400
years? It could mean longer. - Submitted by Brittany, American Hardcover

Well, you and a girl, Brittany, said something about Nearly Headless
Nick's birthday party, when in fact, it was a death day party, so you were right
in your "mistake" when he said he hadn't eaten in 400 years, because he was DEAD
for 500. So, Brittany was actually mistaken. - Submitted by Becca.
When Harry and Ron were stranded at King's Cross, Ron asked Harry if
he had any money. Harry said the Dursleys hadn't given him pocket money in
about "six years". Well...they did send him some for Christmas the year before. Harry gave it to Ron who'd never seen Muggle Money. - Submitted by Anne
Actually you said "In the first book Nearly Headless Nick says he
hasn’t eaten in four hundred years but in the second book they are celebrating
his five hundredth birthday.". In my opinion he didn't really eat at his deathparty, everybody says that they can't taste anything so, they didn't really eat at all! Everyone is just pretending! - Submitted by Monika
In the second hard back book Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
it advertises (inside of the book) Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. They
spelt Socerer's S-O-C-E-R-O-R-'-S... they spelt it right on the back of the back
of the book. :-| Weird..... - Submitted by Kelsey
In Chapter Nine, The Writing on the Wall, Line 17, it says "Get-away-from-there-" Perry said. (It's supposed to be PERCY not PERRY! - Submitted by Derek.
