Blain
Elam Blain b - 1807   d - 1887

Elam Blain
Born May 15, 1807; deceased December 26, 1887.

Elam is more elusive than his father, Alam.  Again, we have no pictures but we do have some facts sleuthed by genealogical detectives.

Elam was the son of Alam and Catharine Reed Blain.  He was born in Pennsylvania where his father had moved the Blain family.  Elam was the youngest of 12 children.

Elam, age 66, married a second time, April 21, 1873, 10 years after his first wife's death, to Hannah Pace age 53, b- December 24, 1820 and d - June 17, 1880. Hannah died after 7 years into the marriage at age 60 years, and Elam lived beyond that 7 more years to the age of 80.  Hannah Pace was the daughter of Jacob Pace, I have no notes on her mother.

Elam and his first wife Sarah had 9 Children.

Question:  What did Elam Blain experience in his life.  Did he know of the occurrences mentioned in the timeline.  Did he view any of these things for himself.  Only he has the answers to these questions but it is safe to say his lifetime was as tumultuous as ours is today.
