Songs 20 through 15 all hit the #1 spot in 2006.  From alternative to country, these singles all managed to top the chart at some point during the year.  With some solid established artists and a great new band, these five songs represent some of the year's finest songs.

Audrey, Start The Revolution! by Anberlin
Anberlin second single to hit 2006's Top 100 continued to prove that Never Take Friendship Personal was an incredible disc full of hit song after hit song.  Audrey, Start The Revolution! debuted in the Top 50 on July 5 at #35.  The track has spent 24 weeks in the Top 50, including one week at #1.  It also spent 17 weeks in the Top 25 and 13 in the Top 10.  Even in a relatively quiet year, Anberlin proved their talent by charting two Top 50 singles in 2006.





19. Breathe Into Me by Red
Red was one of the year's top new acts.  Their rock edge became extremely catchy, particularly on the lead single. 
Breathe Into Me was one of the year's truly excellent rock songs, and it debuted in the Top 50 on April 26 at #41.  It spent 23 weeks in the Top 50, peaking with a two-week stint in the top spot.  The single also spent 18 weeks in the Top 25 and ten in the Top 10.  Red enters 2007 with some strong momentum from this Top 20 track.




18. Animal I Have Become by Three Days Grace
Three Days Grace came back in a big way in 2006. 
One-X put forth a strong          follow-up to their debut self-titled disc.  And Animal I Have Become brought the band back to the radio forefront after such strong success from the singles from the debut.  The track debuted in the Top 50 on April 26 at #38.  It spent 22 weeks in the Top 50, with one week at #1.  Animal I Have Become spent 17 weeks in the Top 25 and eleven in the Top 10.  Three Days Grace found their way back on to the rock map in 2006 and looks to continue to do well in 2007.



17. Favorite State Of Mind by Josh Gracin
After taking home 2005's #1 single, Josh Gracin continued to make waves on the Top 50, though he has yet to release a sophomore disc. 
Favorite State Of Mind debuted in the Top 50 on February 8 at #50.  It spent 24 weeks in the Top 50, including two weeks at #1.  The track would spend 19 weeks in the Top 25 and 13 in the Top 10.  Josh Gracin followed up a spectacular 2005 with another strong single in 2006 and, with a forthcoming sophomore disc, certainly has the potenital to continue strong into 2007.




16. Last Day Of My Life by Phil Vassar
2006 was a quiet year for Phil Vassar, with just the release of a greatest hits disc.  However, that disc managed to provide one 2006's best love songs in
Last Day Of My Life.  The single debuted in the Top 50 on February 8 at #47.  It would spend 23 weeks in the Top 50, three of which were spent at #1.  Last Day Of My Life also spent 17 weeks in the Top 25 and eleven in the Top 10.  Though Vassar's 2006 was relatively he made some early waves with this track and managed a Top 20 single because of it.
