| 2006 was an incredible year for Dierks Bentley. Two Top 25 singles, two singles that nearly made the Top 100 while splitting time between two years (Come A Little Closer splitting between 2005 and 2006, Long Trip Alone starting it's run this year and looking to continue strong into next year), and the #1 single of the year. Settle For A Slowdown was an instant success on the Top 50, creating a great follow-up single to Come A Little Closer, a track that spent 25 weeks in the Top 25. Settle For A Slowdown debuted in the Top 50 on January 11 at #25. It spent 31 weeks in the Top 50, peaking with one week at #1. It tied Come A Little Closer for the second longest run in history on the Top 25 at 25 weeks, as well as 15 weeks in the Top 10. 2006 was a huge year for Dierks Bentley, and he definitely looks like he will continue to do quite weel in 2007. | ||||||||||||
