#100-#91
Home                      Weekly Top 25                      CD Reviews                      Musically Inspired
The Top 100 is truly a unique compilation of singles from 2006.  Country, rock, hip hop, pop, and everything else are represented this year.  And we begin with songs 100 to 91.  These are a combination of singles with modest success as well as singles whose runs were beginning at the end of the year or ending at the beginning of the year.
100. You Save Me by Kenny Chesney
Stats: Debuted in the Top 50 on September 6 at #48.  Spent 15 weeks on the Top 50 in 2006 (And is still charting), peaking at #22.  Spent four weeks in the Top 25.  Kenny is no stranger to the chart, so to see his name in the Top 100 is certainly no shocker.

99. It Ends Tonight by The All-American Rejects
Stats: Debuted in the Top 50 on August 30 at #47.  Has currently spent 16 weeks on the Top 50, currently peaking at #20, with six weeks in the Top 25.  The Rejects followed up a big 2005 with a quiet 2006.  However, It Ends Tonight gives them a chart presence.

98. How To Save A Life by The Fray
Stats: Debuted in the Top 50 on July 26 at #38.  Spent 13 weeks on the Top 50, peaking at #15.  Spent five weeks in the Top 25.  The Fray gets a mention in 2006, largely due to their excellent songwriting.  How To Save A Life is one example of that.

97. Dance, Dance by Fall Out Boy
Stats: Debuted in the Top 50 on December 7, 2005 at #22.  Peaked at #22 while spending just four weeks in the Top 50.  While only spending four weeks in the Top 50, Dance, Dance makes the Top 100 due fully in part to it's long run outside the Top 50.

96. Honestly by Cartel
Stats: Debuted in the Top 50 on August 9 at #48.  Spent 14 weeks in the Top 50, peaking at #22.  Honestly totaled three weeks in the Top 25, and was one of the year's late hits.  Honestly showed that Catel was solid group and good enough for the Top 100.

95. I Dare You by Shinedown
Stats: Debuted in the Top 50 on February 1 at #49.  Spent 16 weeks in the Top 50, peaking at #29.  While I Dare You never managed to crack the Top 25, it had a solid run on the chart, both in the Top 50 as well as a long run outside the Top 50.

94. Once In A Lifetime by Keith Urban
Stats: Debuted in the Top 50 on September 13 at #48.  Has currently spent 14 weeks in the Top 50, currently peaking at #14.  Spent eight weeks in the Top 25 in 2006.  Once In A Lifetime marks Urban's first (but not last) appearance in 2006's Top 100.

93. Bring It On Home by Little Big Town
Stats: Debuted in the Top 50 on February 15 at #46.  Spent 14 weeks in the Top 50, peaking at #24.  Spent three weeks in the Top 25.  Little Big Town's lone appearance in the Top 100, Bring It On Home was a pretty solid love song.

92. Welcome To The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance
Stats: Debuted in the Top 50 on October 4 at #33.  Has currently spent 11 weeks in the Top 50, peaking at #7.  Has spent nine weeks in the Top 25 and three weeks in the Top 10.  MCR's slow 2006 (One Top 100 track) looks to be followed up by a strong 2007.

91. Hypnotize by System Of A Down
Stats: Debuted in the Top 50 on November 2, 2005 at #19.  Spent 14 weeks in the Top 50, peaking at #8.  Spent 12 weeks in the Top 25, as well as five weeks in the Top 10.  Hypnotize was one of 2006's early hits that managed to hold on to a Top 100 spot.
