USENET (THE NEWSGROUPS)

There are many newsgroups readers available on the internet, most of them free to download. This tutorial covers only Netscape Communicator and Microsoft Outlook Express.

If you are using an outdated version of the two abovementioned programs*, I recommend that you download updated software from www.netscape.com or www.microsoft.com - it is free to download.

To access NEWSGROUPS from your computer, select one of the following:

*To determine what version of Netscape or Outlook Express you are using, go up to HELP in the menu and select ABOUT...

If you are using version 3.0 then you are strongly recommended to download an updated version.
