I've reserved a place at Ikoma, sorry gon gon! Bunka timing
not suitable for me, 10am too early le. Sunday I'll go down and make my payment
and registration, yay! (omg did i just spelt registEration?! told you my English
is getting bad to worse!) hopefully i can learn it well and make up for my
regret... last time after PSLE was given the option to take 3rd language.
decided against it because it would be so tiring to go MOE Language Centre after
school and all. Guess what, when I went into sec 1 class, half the class took
jap... one quarter took german or french -.- so i was the last few that never
take anything. The MOELC is just 10 minutes walk away from cat high in bishan
ARGHZ! so ended up not taking jap lo... wasted right! biggest regret in life,
zhong shen de yi han... so now i must research everything first before making
decision. so now must take jap!!!
Here are the photos of the firewire cycling trip at pasir ris.

27th May
What to do? I'm standing at the crossroad waiting for a
sign to appear, to tell me where to go. how to continue walking for this one
year ne... i've never been so lost before. there was always a plan, a goal in
life to look forward to. i already got my driving license le, now im really
tempted to sign up for japanese class, at least i'll learn something meanwhile
instead of rotting away. I realise that my English spelling and grammar is
getting bad to worse, can't even spell luggage. -.- had to check the dictionary
online, oh no!
Should I choose Bunka or Ikoma? I calculated that both is about the same price
per hour but Bunka is only 8 lessons while Ikoma is 24 lessons! so confusing...
teckie keep asking me to go down for placement test -.-! i forgot all the
hiragana le la, only 10 lessons last time leh. sunday i shall go down n take a
look ya, heehee.
26th May
Yesterday I attended the best SCO concert I have ever seen!
Watching Yu Jia play the Chun Qiu (Spring Autumn period of war) was like
watching Dong Fang Bu Bai in a movie... she is so shuai~! n so style! I just
checked that the song is 20min plus and it really felt like watching a war epic
or something like Lord of the Rings, breathless but exciting and intense! All
the attention just goes onto her and the pipa. Enthralling~! Watching Sunny and
his dad play the er hu... and mike also enjoying the Han Tian Lei and canto
songs which are really paradise for er-hu players. I watch le also feel very
shuang... first time I watch a SCO concert the feeling is shuang. I thought only
Mayday or kbox can do that. We were all very 'high' after watching the
concert... huiying and some of them bought the DVD. haha. At the concert I was
so captivated that I really wanna learn my suona better and enjoy CO more and
play more pieces. Today I went through the whole piece of Tian Wang during
sectionals which is quite simple for suona.
now quite worried that i'll think astray again. things are not improving and
nothing much seems to have changed, in fact I think it got worse. im afraid that
it may happen again and something more serious may happen. if it does... im
sorry but i can't help it. life goes on for everybody, i'd still love to attend
CO, class gathering, mahjong session, go sing kbox, watch survivor or go
shopping. but im satisfied and thankful for having so much already - each and
everyone of you who made a difference in my life.
i really wanna attend each CO practice and go Hong Kong with everyone. I wanna
step into NTU and graduate to be an event organiser or artiste manager. My
mid-career change would be to become a public/motivational speaker. Fall in love
with a great girl and have a hong hong lie lie de ai qing with a happy ending.
attend all of my fren's 21st birthdays. i wanna earn enough to let my parents
and brother travel and have fun in taiwan/thailand and enjoy what i've enjoyed.
i really want all these to happen...
These 2 months I learnt a lot about myself and what it
feels like to be in the journey... the happiest and saddest moment of the year
all happened. never expected things to turn out this way and it affected a lot
of things. like i said, i'm thankful that it happened and i'm coming out of it
quite positively despite all the bad things that happened. i really wished
things had gone on more smoothly but my life is that messy now. hopefully you'll
save many lives with a human touch and i'll uphold my promise that this is the
first and the last - it's that special.
25th May
Went out with Xiao Na, Angeline James and Chin Teck to City
Hall area. Started playing Go Go Jungle at the arcade
because the Jurassic Park machine is GONE! Thankfully I completed the game the
last time I played it, Angeline was dead at the last stage, haha. So when we saw
the machine disappear, kinda sad lah... but Go Go Jungle is a good replacement,
quite shiok playing it also. Walked around Carrefour where Xiao Na joined in
after work at TTSH. Then we went to eat at MOF! my favorite Jap restaurant...
they have a lot of veggie items which James and Xiao Na can eat. Xiao Na having
one month veggie diet to 'qi fu' for the people in Szechuan. The cold ramen
totally rocks and Angeline's Unagi is freaking huge and delicious. Sugoi ne!!!
The dessert was great , green tea ice cream!

After that we went to Clarke Quay to watch the opening of Singapore Arts
Festival which featured a willy-wonka fantasy like ballad on the river. Several
things and people floated on the water, like lamp posts and vehicles and road
sweeper. There were flames and it started becoming more bizzare when the vehicle
crushed with a huge bed on the water. Honestly, it's too arty that NOBODY gets
what it is trying to say. LOL. Ended with lots of fireworks and pyrotechnics and
some of them were really creative and new. The fireworks saved the entire show
really. After reading a brief synopsis online of the artwork, I still don't get
it -.-! I want to watch the LOTR symphony which includes a chorale and the
festival symphony. Am I spending too much in concerts and art shows? After
Mayday, I'm watching the Erhu Pipa concert by Sunny & YuJia tomorrow. Tempted to
watch Angela and now the LOTR symphony.
Then chin teck joined in where we went Cartel to eat cheese cakes. I dunno from
where we started talking about Wang Zhao Jun and Angeline was so insistent that
she played pipa. Then we went on to screw up more Chinese historical characters
like Mulan having that red dragon pet called Mushu! Gosh we laughed so hard till
we had tears in our eyes...
Actually yesterday was suppose to be a depressing day, it started out that way
anyway. My life is so unpredictable and colourful that I can really write an
autobiography... it's really Hong Hong Lie Lie~! Someone once said...there are
two kinds of people - one who tell stories and one who listen to stories. I'm
the kind who tell stories because my life is really rather interesting and life
would be boring if it stays stagnant.
23rd May
Took off my cast and realize that there were rashes because
it was sooo itchy. I still cant straighten out my arm or bend it all the way in,
but I can type better now so it's good. X-ray didn't show anything much but I
guess it's the muscle ligaments that tore or needs some fixing to be done.
Oh ya I fell off from the vehicle if some of you didn't know... kinda moody
these few days but moody is really a light way of describing what I'm feeling
for the past few days. Been stuck in hospital for 6 days and finally got out and
went to CO, they wouldn't let me play my suona ARGHZ.
22nd May
I almost could never watch the finale of Survivor. Parvati
won ... although Cirie and Amanda played a wonderful game too! Maybe i should
watch 1 litre of tears again. Spent e long weekend at NUH, luckily there was
wireless so could msn. Thankfully Chu Jun is fine, Shao long had 8 stitches...omg!
NYPCO needs to change feng shui! im fine and all, nxt wk going back for x-ray.
now typing with one hand so its hard, cant type too much... so yup! tks everyone
who came to support and visit me.
11th May

The black widow club
16 seasons on and Survivor topped itself again by serving the BEST tribal
council ever and this season is by far the best in terms of drama, strategy,
characters and its spirits of Outwit Outplay Outlast. It's still stays in the
top 20 each week in ratings. I couldn't stop but kept laughing at the poor guy
Erik when he made the worst move by giving Natalie his immunity and then get
voted off - DUMBEST. Survivor. Ever! title goes to him.
This season is about super-fans vs. ex-players. Erik (superfan) won the Survivor
Trivia immunity challenge where Jeff Probst asked questions regarding the past
15 seasons of Survivor. (I got all except 1 question correct! I'm a superfan!)
Erik has been watching Survivor since he was 14 (sounds like me!) What actually
happened was that the girls were pretty upset that Erik won immunity and they
have to get torn apart. So Cirie commented that they would all vote him off if
he didn't have the necklace. Then she floated the idea to manipulate Erik to
give up the necklace for Natalie. Natalie said "No way he'll do that, I feel
dumb listening to this conversation already." But since Erik had made so many
terrible mistakes in the past that he lost the trust of every women, Cirie
suggested a plot that she, natalie and erik would vote Amanda off... if she sees
that Erik can prove his trust through an action - by giving natalie the
necklace. all 4 women manipulated him in one way or another and then stabbed him
in the back. like what Jeff Probst said ... this is a life lesson for him and it
indeed is for all the viewers. Poor erik was apologizing to make up for his
mistakes and Parv was saying "This is a game and we're still in a game".
Reading through the application form for Survivor 18 (yes, Jeff Probst has
signed contract till Survivor 20!), they are lowering the age limit to 18 years
old! Arghz. They ask sooo many question on the form, it's 20 pages old. Describe
your perfect day, have you held political office and why, if you're stranded
with someone who would it be? what are your pet peeves, what would you not do
for a million dollar, how would your friends describe you. LOL I think that is
worse than a scholarship interview manz.
I think this season marks another milestone in Survivor because it has evolved
once again in terms of strategy and gameplay. All the contestants seen or played
the game before and learnt from past mistakes and merits. Ozzy making a fake
idol like Yau Man did in his season, Amanda keeping mum when she had the idol
and now the girls manipulate erik into giving up his necklace (bravo!) that is
totally of a different league man. Bertinus said "you're still watching that
show?" ya duh! it can survive so long because it's a great show and it keeps
outdoing itself and keeps evolving. These past few seasons has seen very mature
players and a whole new generation of players like me... who started watching
the show since early teen. Todd won Survivor China and he started watching the
show since he was 13... he knows the game and he played a game that stayed true
to the essence of outwit outplay outlast. Tomorrow is the finale of Survivor
Fans vs. Favorites... which I can't watch cos i'm in camp! so i'll have to wait
till friday and watch it online. Then it'll be another dry summer season before
Survivor 17: Gabon (located in Africa). i dunno if that's a good thing or not
but Survivor 3:Africa was the worst out of the 16. Till then...
10th May
Went to watch Speed Racer with Mablerine... who's rotting
at home and waiting for work to come, haha. poor her can't get a job and needs
to stay occupied until August. We watched it at the new e2hub at downtown east,
cool. Speed Racer in my opinion is better than Iron Man, despite the terrible
reviews. Partly is that I'm a fan of wachowski brothers, so I was looking
forward to the special effects and all. The entire movie was shot in front of a
green screen, meaning it's all in the studio and none done outdoors. The
layering is sooo anime... i really love how they edit it, the transitions were
dam freaking nice. The part where the kid and chim chim the chimpanzee fight in
anime style is so dam funny. It's really rather good tribute to japanese anime
and ya there's Rain in it who did quite a decent job. The thing about speed
racer is all those weird spears and weapons from the tires, so amusing, haha. i
cant stop laughing and crack up whenever someone gets hurt or gets blown away...
it's kinda like happy tree friends, ya?! i used to watch speed racer when i was
young la, although not a loyal fan. still better than Iron man i think, the
special effects really rocks!
Went to Yan Han's 21st which was suppose to be a surprise but i heard tim spoilt
it, haha. I almost spoilt it by wanting to ask yan han where it is. A lot of 2-7
people went... Jun Kiat, Sweekuan, Bertinus, Melvin, Weijun, Keith, JoelToh,
Hong Zhou, darryl, Aik Thong, (his hair!!! and he's no longer a faithful
christian... what is the world coming to man!) so that's 12 of us. Then you add
in the 4-6 people, haha the cat high boys can form a class manz. Aik Thong led a
gong jiao cheer...woo! almost led into a school song but no thanks, haha.
danielpoh and aloy fly aeroplane lah. dunno where tim went also. Very soon a lot
of people gonna fly everywhere le, dennis and poh shin are already in Waseda uni.
tat going to liverpool soon, mel going uni penn. it's always nice to have class
gathering... amazing man, i've known these people for more than 8 years! waiting
for yan han to send me the photos, haha.
8th May
I finally passed my driving test!
Thanks for all the well wishes, sms-es and Taurus who gave me last minute tip on
e-brake when I was doing warm up cos I totally forgot the procedures! haha,
never go revision la. Special mention to cheng han who sms-ed me all the way
from taiwan also! Much more confidence taking the test this time, xie xie
everyone, whoaha. My warm up was totally almost perfect as per normal lessons.
Then I got route 3 which was a rather simple route and the sky was rather
gloomy, few cars on the road. The first station of the test is 17A again~
Directional change which I failed the last time round. There were two cars in
front of me... the first one was a girl having her normal lesson and her back
wheel mounted the kerb exactly the same way I failed my test the last time.
Luckily she having lesson only. The second car was a guy taking the test like
me, then his wheel hit the kerb! He reverse a bit, then hit again, reverse and
hit again. Reverse all the way, then do a wider turn then came out. 10 points
gone bah... i see le super stress la. So i purposely did a wider turn, but I
almost hit the kerb on the other side, too wide le... so I asked to reverse back
a bit, then I finally came out. My parallel parking wa... my legs started to
shake and I can't control the clutch well, move back too fast and missed the
turning point. Wa heng arh... no touch any pole. On the road I was more
confident le, didn't commit much mistake other than being nervous and turning
too fast. But I checked all my blind spot and did proper lane changing. Back at
the debrief, I saw one page 14 points!!! I was like... die le la, i din even
know how i commit so many pts at that time, den another page 2 pts... 18 is the
maximum, now i get 16... luckily the first page is blank~ I passed with 16 pts,
phew. I don't even know where the 6 pts "Din slow down when approaching road
hazard" came about... but i passed so wateva, haha. When I get my O lvl or gpa
or wat, i also never call my parents lo, but this time i called, haha. fail is
$300 leh. Tks again for all the well wishes. all except one nv wish me -.- so i
nv told that person i pass or not. >.<
Tues I was so bored that Ying Xin and I went to lunch at AMK suki sushi... the
mussels were nicely sauced and the sides dishes were great. The main dish don
wasn't that spectacular but the sushi are 99cent. After that we went to the
jubilee old arcade and played bishibashi, drum mania... Dance dance revolution
!!! and para para.. haha how nostalgic, the entire arcade was pretty quiet... at
one point there were only 2 of us if u exclude the staff, haha. DDR! omg that
was so primary 6 lahz. and yes I played Butterfly, haha. i still can remember
the moves okay~ but the harder songs jiu fail liaoz, haha.
Today went to watch Ironman, thanks to Hazel's psycho-ing that it's a marvelous
show that she watched it three times. I don't find it very impressive or what,
just typical super hero movie with lots of american propaganda. One funny scene
was when the old man died, he was lying on a bag printed with a US flag logo,
lolx. how much more obvious that he died for America can that be? i'm more
interested in speed racer and shinigami's secret by takeshi... and indiana jones
and kung fu panda. lots of great movies coming up.
Seeing another new batch of committee, haha really want to laugh at how innocent
they can be. luckily Jac is sao, can take care of them as and when. I was typing
out a simple family tree about the different batches to zhi wei, he asked me why
i'm called lao zu zong. lolx... realize that im really v. old batch liao. wei
lin and i were talking about this new batch of freshies, should be the economic
boom and prosperous years ahead... 2009 should be even more exciting. what goes
up must come down ... and eventually it'll go up again. this is the cycle of
life and nature.
4th May
So many songs that can express myself...
Start with weilin's birthday first bah. Jac and I actually reached Tampines at
4pm but the bus amazingly took an hour to reach Pasir Ris. I made a fool out of
myself when I thought Costa Sands was Aloha Loyang...omg it is so freaking far.
By that time Yi Nan Wang was almost finish showing and the Malaysian channel was
going to show Tian Xia Di Yi Wei. Ok ok off topic LOL! I helped to start the
fire as usual and very quickly he qiang came to took over my job and started
cooking. Weilin's cake has a very nice chocolate treasure box that contains a
key~ and she decided to eat it by herself -.- i wanted to eat! haha. The fruit
cake was quite big lah, amazing. Couldn't fit into the fridge so we had to put
it into the huge ice cooler fridge, haha! Icy fruit cake in the making. The rest
of the NYPCO people soon streamed in.
Went to the beach to cycle with teckie... where she reminded me that it was the
place. I see for myself how 2 years can be so long and how 2 years can make me
so mature and understand so much more now. *cues Kelly Clarkson songs. Hopefully
one day, I can be like Kelly and do what she is doing with her songs... if u
know what i mean.
I shall hereby interpret two very distinct personalities I've met - A has always
been putting in a lot of effort in getting things done and organizing others to
get things done... Workaholic and always putting in hard work, he doesn't
receive any compliments and yet causes others to feel irritated and annoyed. B
seemingly work things out with a smile, effortlessly and so easily. He is
well-liked even though he gets himself into trouble sometimes but things seems
to be going very smoothly for him. Life is so unfair because I feel for A... he
really try and try but can never be as good as B, yet he causes his peers to
dislike him even though he is indispensible. Such is the irony of life... just
like James whose providing so much for everyone in camp and yet he's on the
chopping block to get voted off. Worse still, he gets infected and medically
evacuated even though he wants to stay in the game.
2nd May
WARNING! Girl Shopping is addictive!
Something is seriously wrong with me le... haha. Girl shopping is so addictive~!
That time went out with Discovery colleagues... today it's with Angeline Sophia
and Hao Juan. We shopped for a total of 7 hours ... with only an hour dinner
break. Shop shop shop non-stop - Zara, River Island, Top Shop, Chomel, I.P.Zone,
Forever 21, Marks&Spencer, Pedro, Tangs, Niichii, Pedder Red, Spanish Dreams,
Pull&Bear all in vivocity. That's right, we didn't even have time to cover GAP,
MNG, Tommy Hilfiger, Fox etc. It's such an accomplishment to shop just plain
female clothes and accessories and shoes - that I don't even have time to look
for my own shoes! I wonder why Vivo doesn't have fourteen or Cotton On or United
Benetton. I also realize that I have increasingly high patience for girls to
change their clothes.
Anyway
we walked away with so much victory trophies! Birthday presents for Peggy &
Weilin. Angeline bought a clothe for her friend's wedding dinner and Hao Juan
bought a really nice shoes. I saw the pair of shoes and said it's really good.
Angeline and Sophia echoed my comments and she tried it, it's really unique and
nice. So she decided to buy it, haha. Shuang kuai bahz! Then I said "you must
paint your toe nails and do nail polish when you wear these shoes". The pair of
shoes is really unique and attract attention lah and it exposes the toes mah...
so obviously must paint right! She said "Luckily my boyfriend is not so
detailed." haha~ OMG come to think of it, this whole year I haven really done
any guy shopping... with justin once maybe~ It's all girl shopping at orchard,
taka, PS, vivo. *faintz. And I'm actually anticipating for the Great Singapore
Sale~ LOL. But what's the point of buying clothes now when I hardly wear it.
Only book out and weekends wear it and I've already got so many clothes. Maybe
wait for the taiwan trip or next year's GSS, then can do a revamp on my wardrobe
and prepare for college life. Now can start building bit by bit though, heehee!
excuses! meaning lots of shoes, pants, watches, spectacles, formal wears.
Eh,
at least next time my girlfriend arh can really enjoy shopping with me lo.
Sometimes I know more about Chomel, Chameleon, Missha, ebase than girls loh
(girls, this season's fourteen line is quite nice!) and I'm looking more into
window displays. Maybe next time I can work as window display designer?! quite a
cool job hor! and yesterday I was flipping through HER WORLD looking at Fendi,
Gucci, Burberry, Hermes, Prada, Coach, YSL, DKNY, Kate Spade. Oh actually I
realise that YSL was a designer (i guess learning under) Christian Dior. Dior
group owns 42% of LVMH company who owns the brand of LV, Fendi, DKNY, Tag Heuer
and Marc Jacobs. Isn't that amazing!

Oh we ate our dinner at Kim Gary HK Cafe which was freaking
good! Ahhh! It's only Singapore outlet is at Vivocity... the nearest outlet to
me is City Square JB -.- The french toast is so delicious lahx cos they toast
both the bread together with peanut butter and then have butter on it... it's
toasted to dark brown that makes it like a pie or wat. The yuan yang is so much
better than the Xin Wang's one because it is so much more fragrance. And then I
ordered the Yuan yang rice which consist of baked cheese rice and baked curry
rice with a rather large piece of steak. It cost $10.50 and the yuan yang is $2
so the total bill is $15 when we splitted the french toast la.
Used to think that shopping in Singapore is really dull. Although next time I'll
probably drag girls with me to visit Europe US or other shopping destinations
for Banana Republic and all... actually Singapore is really not that bad. But
they should really get in H&M, Banana Republic, A&F and other brands in. Just
now in Tangs... i was like commenting... if only they have a whole Tangs for men
which sells shoes, bags, accessories, clothes, goods etc etc. I read from ST
that high-heels for girls can be classified into stilettos, wedge, block,
platform etc etc. duh! I didn't even have much chance to look for my own pair of
shoes or camera which I initially planned to. Haix~ next time bahz... must find
guys to go shopping with me le, or else I can never buy anything. LOL.
1st May
Realized that my post about Mayday is rather... not
proportionate to the satisfaction and the kind of uber-greatness that it
actually was. Even this week, I was suffering from post-concert syndrome and
kept singing Mayday song and kinda high through the days. The first picture is
the air bridge that can elevate itself up and down, the semi-circle is the
bottom of the bridge. On the second picture, you can see the drum set and all on
a platform while the rest of the band is on the main stage. That platform can be
raised as well... amazing! At the last picture, Ashin is on the 360 degree
runway which brings him very close to the audience. As you can see, there are
some lousy fans that couldn't get blue lightsticks, spoiling the entire effect.
They didn't sing the hokkien songs like Gong Lang and Peter&Mary which is really
disappointing. But the Sun Wu Kong sung by the other members other than Ashin
was really different and nice. They sang some rather old songs like from the
first album or No. 9 Ball~ As usual there was the L.O.V.E segment and
Zhong Jie Gu Dan which was a direct copy of last year's Jump but still fun
nonetheless. So many songs I like... like Call me #1, Viva Love!, Zhi Zhu,
Angel, Jue Jiang!, Wen Rou etc etc. The whole concert was a surreal feeling that
makes you forget all the stress, the problems, the worries, the army life and
rejuvenates my life.. haha it's that great! Ashin says that they will be back on
09! YAY!!! omg I thought next year they're doing album till next year so next
year won't have concert. I guess it can be like Robin's idea... my ORD
celebration. Jump was roughly a month before I enlist... Down to Earth is the
mid of my NS life so next year will be my ORD le~ I can't wait for the next
concert... Now.. should I go watch Angela?
