Born to Love
 為愛而生

22nd June
I missed Pee Mam who came to Singapore for the past few days and I had such a hard time contacting her :( Went swimming with Eddie at YCK, been so long since I went swimming.  Finally going to fly off towards Sydney in 24 hours time. The packing was quite tedious and the double bass is creating a crisis.

All these and more were occupying my brains and RAM power, that I had no time to reallyt hink about NS. Other than having made the specs and buying some talcum powder, I really didn't prepare much. Shall worry about it after I'm back from Sydney.

This blog was suspended for about 4 days! I'm surprised nobody noticed or asked me about it... low readership I guess. It is back now because of a good friend. I thank God for blessing me with such great friendship, whom made me who I am today. I take this opportunity to thank all the CHS, Firewire, NYPCO, Dictators, CADC, Wenyang, ASEAN, Discovery, Poly Forum and everyone else who had helped me in a way or another...to stand up and regain confident.

Hence I shall dedicate this song 冬天快乐 by 李宇春.

Those of you who don't know who is 李宇春, omg! Remember last year the Global Chinese Music Award hosted in Singapore? The top 5 most popular female artistes are Joey Rong Zhu Er, Fish Leong, Steph Sun, Jolin Tsai and 李宇春! She is so style~! 冬天快乐 and Give Me Five are both my favorite songs by her! =)

Even though I'm moving on to be in the army and see all of you less often, does not mean that I've forgotten about any of my friends. Still can talk on msn or chill out during weekends. Isn't it amazing that some people you know for less than few hours and you can keep in touch for years? While some people you see everyday in life but never bothered to strike a conversation. Yet sometimes, your great friend suddenly turns cold in a second and its hard to talk. How about having so many contacts on MSN and when you're down, you realize that there's nobody to confide in? The biggest thing I worry about going into army is missing out the friends and having no time to meet up. I wonder how many will still turn up for my 21st birthday. >.< Then there's army buddies, university friends, work colleagues, relatives... I think an average person would know up to 1000 person in their entire lifetime. 1000 out of 6.6 billion, that's 0.00000000015% chance, so much harder than striking Toto lottery! Shouldn't we all be glad to meet and know a person? =) Enjoy the song!

Jump! Jump! Jump! Mayday's new single is playing on the radio! Taurus and David were thinking that I went crazy when I was polishing the suona and jumping so high! Yes I was bare-feet even! It was so fun polishing ... hehe!

The 3-day intensive finally over... still got problem with my solo. Haix! I really cannot solo especially on suona. Play for 7 years le! but I still cannot enjoy playing solo or those traditional solo pieces for grading... I really don't like to have all those techniques like hua-she, hua-ying, da-ying etc. etc. when playing solo. Playing solo is very exposed... and nothing to support on. That time when I duet on the guan, at least there was music accompaniment and the clarinet to lean on. Moreover, I have nobody to listen to and support my tone to be in tune!

BASICALLY I just enjoy playing symphonic pieces!

I cannot enjoy piano, violin, gu zheng etc. on their own because I'll sleep... too boring. Also because I play in band, so my sense of music lies with symphony pieces. Lao shi always force me to play those solo pieces and ask me go for grading, I refuse to do it de. CK gave up le, he knows I won't do it. LOL. When I play the nando arirang solo, I'm so concerned with keeping in tune rather than enjoying the music. Amazingly, just now at sectional I anyhow play, lao shi says the pitch is okay =.=!

Hopefully will get better, I'll try to enjoy the music rather than worrying about the tune tomorrow.

Jump! Jump! Jump! I'm still very high from the concert, especially when I saw this o2jam-like arcade machine featuring songs from Mayday! Of course there were the lows like the Voice Out, where the students of Fang zhong hua sang Angel, I'm in love again and First Day... I always tear-ed because they say it horrendously! What blasphemy!

Can anyone actually believe I went to the SINGAPORE ZOO today?! Spent an entire day with the animals with my Discovery colleagues. We saw so many animals up-close and actually acted like tourists, spending time at each enclosure. I love the outback exhibit where you can actually touch the kangaroos... but the kangaroo avoided me. Only Diya and Mic managed to take pictures with it. I'm going to try again at Sydney! Hmph! We also watched the new animal shows like Splash! featuring penguins, manatees and the sea lion; the elephants of Asia. Mic always act so retarded, shouting out to the animals! LOLX. Mablerine was so excited when we started talking about Shrek 3 and how retarded the donkey looked when it tried to act cute like Puss. We saw the snake swallowing up the entire mouse. Kool!

Mablerine and Mic saw their MJ PE teacher and guess who I saw ... Alvin Chua bringing a kid around the zoo. He doing CIP with his class. so nice, free trip to the zoo. Having spent up to 7 hours in the zoo, we finally found what we had searched all day ... MEERKATS! They are so cute and we're so obsessed with them... partly because we all watched the Meerkats Manor on Animal Planet when we were working at DSC. Had such a fun day!

The next zoo trip will be the Taronga Zoo in Sydney! More pictures in my Webshot Album!

Jump! 我甩掉地球地球甩掉 只要越跳越高!

My highly anticipated Mayday JUMP! concert at Expo Max Pavillion. This time I could recognize most of the songs which included LOVE-ing, Zhong Jie Gu Dan, Gong Lang, Wo you chu lian le, Angel, Zhi Zhu, I'm Strong and many many more. The highest point was definitely the L.O.V.T and Zhong Jie Gu Dan with the special actions! I was sweating and breathless, worse than doing 2000 jumping jacks. Now I have sore arms, sore legs, sore throat and no energy left. The hall was totally filled with 7000 people, amazing. Although some are complimentary tickets, they just sit down and watch... spoiling the mood. At one point I felt like dying... jumped and screamed too much - the kind where you have no regret even if you die. Woo~! The concert ended much earlier than expected so I manage to get on a bus. Ha! Hopefully the next time they can hold it at the new National Stadium.

Haiz. Don't stress me about my solo anymore, I know still got the tune problem and the 'feel' problem and the occasional wrong notes...i.e. it sucks. Tomorrow I shall sit myself down and practise at CO room. When we went through the 3 competition pieces, there was more 'feel' to it. We're getting there!

1st June
Yesterday went to Jusco Tebrau City with Justin & Zi Cheng. We went through the local custom using the automated gates, which only requires you to scan your passport and thumb print, so cool! Then we took taxi into Tebrau City and the taxi uncle was really nice guy. He told us that to get out of Jusco is 20 ringgit. Then we went to Red-Box (we're members!) and because we didn't have any booking, we had to wait for about 3 hours. The lady asked for handphone number and I said rather loudly, I don't have handphone number. Everyone around me looked so stunned! LOL! They couldn't recognize that I'm SG because I can start to speak their accent (after listening to Yu Fei, Sophia & Xiao Pang!). So eventually we sang for 3 hours and the bill came ... RM$17.95! The three of us were so stunned, that is like less than 6 ringgit per person, which means less than SGD$3! We were so delighted, haha. On the way out, the taxi drivers wanted to charge us RM$25! We bargained and I was only willing to give in at RM$22 at most. Then some malaysians came and wanted to share cab with us. There were 7 of them, so we tried to negotiate for 5 person per cab, at RM$25. The cabbie said it's dangerous, wanted RM$50 per cab! That's so outrageous because if we take 3 cabs it's lesser money. STUPID. Then he said RM$40 per cab, still preposterous amount. So we walked away and at about 100m away there were another group of cabbies who were willing to let us take RM$20 per cab. Haha, Justin Zicheng and I learnt something new overseas and gotten more streetwise.

I've planned my itinerary for the Free&Easy day on 1st July. If everything goes well I should be able to cover Bondi beach to watch sun-rise, do mountain bike at a motor-cross like route at the Olympic Park, take Ferris Wheel at Luna Park, shop at Queen Victoria Building, Pitt Street, Paddy Market and finally pub at Kings Cross. So exciting!

I guess receive a letter from NYP about graduation, where I'll get my diploma with merit. No news yet about any scholarships, haix. Got rejected by SPH, didn't even get to the interview phrase. Seems like my diploma is pretty useless. And we have to pay $30 to rent the gown, that's so stupid. Act glam... in fact I think they're just trying to rip our money off. arghz!
