10th Jan Flying off in another few hours time, thanks for all the
well wishes and prayers, hopefully I'll come back in one piece. Yesterday after
having bak kut teh at home, I went over to NYP and saw Mr. Edwin Tan at the
auditorium still preparing for the Open House today. The team was screening some
of the productions and the GCK episode of nyptv, which I directed and edited. So
wanna go back to school and do camera work... haix.
Then I saw two freshmen doing up the notice board for NYPCO... went for a
practice to de-stress myself and refresh my skills. The CO is quite geared up
for the annual concert le, last update is having Mrs Goh Chok Tong as the GOH,
having raised $24000 for the lymphonic cancer children foundation. Really hope
that they will do well so that they can go to Hong Kong this year. Even though I
can't go but I still hope they can all go... maybe next year will be another
trip to another place, haha. From what I hear yesterday, should be quite okay...
the beatles medley was good arrangement. hopefully next week can put up a good
show.
9th Jan I think I lost the Dec post~ omg! Over-written it when I
saved this January one. Haix... a lot of nice photos and posts. January is sooo
dry because I'm at home less than 48 hours. Flying off to Thailand tomorrow for
Crescendo training. Hope I don't die there and I'll get to enjoy some tom yum
goong. Went to eat Aji-tei yesterday and the ramen was below expectations, the
scallops had no taste at all and the soup base is all oil and MSG. =( I wont be
back until 1st Feb. Flying off in SQ at T2... haixx... why T2?!?! T3 just open
today leh, I sooo wanted to fly via T3. This would be my 19th and 20th time on a
plane... whoahaha, I'm so fortunate to be able to fly so much before 21.
Just
read this newsletter that NYP send to all its students and alumni... saw a very
nice picture of us in the Sydney Opera House... the whole view sooo nice. I
really love those halo rings on the top and the organ at the back of the hall.
Hopefully the annual concert they'll put up a decent one for Mrs Goh Chok
Tong... I'm not expecting it to be good but at least a decent one.
When I'm back, it'll be a great month because it's gonna be
my 21st birthday, heeX! Haven really planned anything yet except the birthday
bash with Firewire on 2nd Feb. I'm gonna declare the whole of February as my
birthday month and celebrate all the way... since my allowance for Jan won't be
used until I come back... and with hong bao $$$... I should have enough to
indulge myself all through the month, heehee!~
1st Jan 3rd time I spent my New Year's eve at a Starbucks. This
time I had Tazo Zen tea which is a very refreshing non-sugar toothpaste-tasting
tea that can wake you up when you drink it. I also had a pasta salad which was
... weird I must say. Picture with li xin, which probably means I'll never get
it since she never comes online. Starbucks Woodlands was VERY hot yesterday
because there seems to be no air con in the cafe at all, i wonder why. 10
minutes to countdown, sophia li xin joyce huiying and I went to the grass patch
at Woodlands and watched the fireworks. It was better than expected for a
low-budget neighborhood standard. haha... that's our sentiments. Low budget...
Good enough for neighborhood. haha! Then we sat down outside the Civics Centre
where it was ultra windy... with our KFC drinks and just chit chat, with Joyce
filling us stories about her clinic and co-worker dental nurses stories. All so
high until I checked my time and it was already 1.30am~! Ahhh... last train at
2pm so we had to end the stories. None of the Mac in Woodlands is 24hrs! and KFC
closes when all their items were sold out... Huiying and I were like "There's so
many hungry people, now is a good time to earn more profits!" Yet they are all
closing... the train service ends so early, why not 24hrs just for xmas and new
year? how to have night life in Sg liddat? Hopefully sg will improve soon ba.
Mayday is coming to Sg for concert again~! Hope I can watch it too~
