ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE:

Help Group for Creative Community Development has been established in the year 2054 BS (1 997 A.D.) at Biratnagar, Morang with a view to mobilize local resources of the various districts of Nepal particularly those of Eastern Development Region of it. Help-group is registered at the district Administrative Office, Morang, Biratnagar on ₁₄th of Ashwin 2054(1997 A.D.) with the registration no.748 and also affiliated with social Welfare Council (SWC) Lainchour, Kathmandu on ₁₉th of Falgun, 2054 (1997 A.D.). The affiliated number A. F. 6884. It has one branch office at Tikapur Kailali district to look after the interest of this organization in the Western region of Nepal. It has an executive committee of nine members representing different walks of life and a teem of advisors (4) to support this organization. This organization has thirty (30) general members representing different walks of life.

Relevant experiences of the proposed activity and/or other activities undertaken. Since its inception in 1997 this organisation has undertaken several activities related to drug abuse and HIV/AIDS prevention and also quite a number of community development activities important of which are:

	I. Street rally Demonstration against drug abuse at Biratnagar in international day, June26, 1998.

	IV Mass awareness training program on HIV/AIDS and STD at Tankisinwari village Development Committee (VDC) Morang through miking, distributing IEC materials to the gathering of 1000 people on May 15, 1999. Donor Agency: District Development Committee, AIDS prevention
	V. HIV/AlDS prevention orient program for elected women members of 22 number word council of Biratnagar sub metropolitan city. Date : June 24, 1999.Donor Agency: DDC, AIDS prevention co-ordination committee, Morang, Biratnagar.
	VI. HIV/AIDS prevention orientation training to transport union leaders (10) of Biratnagar, Morang Date: July 22, 1999. Donor Agency: DDC, AIDS co-ordination section Biratnagar, Morang.
	VII. Peer education (P1) training to the out reach workers from NGOs/CBOs members of Morang district, date: Aug 9-10, 1999. Donor Agency: DDC AIDS co-ordination section, Morang
	VIII. Primary data collection of drug abusers (IDUS) of Biratnagar organised by National centre for AIDS and STD control, Teku Kathmandu Date Feb 5-12, 1999. Donor Agency: DDC, AIDS co-ordination Section, Morang
	IX. HIV/AIDS related video film demonstration at 22 wards of Biratnagar Date: September 5 to 20, 1999.
