You can minimize SimCity 3000 or the Building Architect Tool window by using this key combination: ALT+TAB
This combination will switch from SimCity 3000/BAT to other programs if you have other programs open at the same time. Otherwise, they will just be minimized. (This feature works for ALL Windows programs.)
