rww: BEFORE DEVIL'S NIGHT

(The scene opens up inside The Boy's locker room, as he prepares for his title match against Stupac at Devil's Night. Michael Cole enters the shot, ready to interview the challenger.)

COLE-
"Scott Hellings, tonight you will be taking on your nemesis, Stupac, in the biggest match of your career. There is certainly a lot of history between you two, but most recently we saw Stupac dressed up as an infant in a carriage. He claims that after the match you will be nothing more than a crying baby. What is your response?

HELLINGS-
"Stupac was dressed up as baby?"

COLE-
"Yes, he was in a large baby carriage."

HELLINGS-
"That's disgusting! What kind of man would humiliate himself that way? (Cole rolls his eyes.) Well, the way I see it, there is only way reason why Stupac would have a carriage and baby clothes. It must mean that somewhere there are a bunch of little Stupacs running around forming bad stables with little Sids and little Too Tuffs. That idea is enough to give to make you sick! Well, that notwithstanding I need to say something. Stu, let me be the first to congratulate you on FINALLY going all the way. You see, I can appreciate that. Because after tonight, I will have finally gone all the way too."

COLE-
"Uh...you don't mean..."

HELLINGS-
"That's right. After tonight I will have FINALLY become RWW Champion!"

COLE-
"Well, you know, a lot of people are predicting a Stupac victory tonight."

HELLINGS-
"Why? Look, Stupac can talk all he wants about how great he is, he can (talking sarcasticly and making quotation marks with his fingers) 'be original' and talk about how I'm (in a whiny voice) 'just a Boy and not a man!' But the simple fact remains that Stupac has NEVER beat me! Not in singles competition, not in tag matches...NEVER! And tonight Stupac will understand what I mean when I say my name is The Boy and that means I am The Best!"

COLE-
"Rob Gamble will be the special guest referee for this match. You and Rob Gamble are no strangers to one another. How do you feel about his involvement with this match?"

HELLINGS-
"I cannot even begin to comprehend why Rob is even in this match! I mean, who is he trying to screw? Me? Stupac? We both hate him! Well all I can say to Mr. Gamble is that he had better stay out of my way, because we all know that I have been itching to get my hands on him for quite some time. Messing with me will just give me an excuse."

COLE-
"Well what about MC Tommy Dee? What role will he play in this match, not having one himself?"

HELLINGS-
"Tommy understands this is important to me and, thus, will not be a factor. As far as I'm concerned, this is just one-on-one between Stupac and The Boy. And, truthfully, this is what I've been waiting for ever since I came here! Rob Gamble will simply be there to make the three count, nothing more. Although, I must say that I do feel very bad for Tommy. After all, Mercy has a match and he doesn't! That's awful!"

COLE-
"That brings up an interesting question, what do you have against Mercy?"

HELLINGS-
"He sucks! He's brutal! What is there to like about the guy? And to top it all off, all he ever talks about his family life! 'War and Peace' was a shorter epic than the trials and tribulations of Mercy's family!"

COLE-
"Well, perhaps you heard, but recently Mercy was heard saying you are egotistical and, well, an arrogant bastard."

HELLINGS-
"Why shouldn't he? I am! Heck, I have a HUGE ego, Mick! But that is what makes me so damn good! You know I'm all about getting into the minds of my opponents! And being an egotistical, arrogant bastard gives me an edge. It gets into their heads, makes them think that maybe I am as good as I say I am and, above all else, it makes them hate me. Basically, it clouds their judgment."

COLE-
"Do you think you have an advantage over Stupac?"

HELLINGS-
"Of course! He knows he's never beat me! And that will be going through his mind the entire match. Oh yes, I have an advantage Mick. You would be surprised how much I know about Stu."

COLE-
"Really? Such as?"

HELLINGS-
"Well, Mick, this is supposed to be the scarriest time of year - Halloween. This is a time for ghosts, goblins and witches. But those things don't scare Stupac. What keeps Stupac awake at night is that he KNOWS his days as RWW Champion are numbered. He knows he cannot beat me! I know it, you know it, the whole damn world knows it! But The Boy understands this fear, and that's what give me the upperhand. You see, there was a time when I was a little enamored with my IC Title, sitting over there."

(The Boy motions to the belt, sitting on the bench.)

HELLINGS-
"But, believe me, I'm defintely over that now."

COLE-
"Really? Does that mean I can touch it now?"

HELLINGS-
"NO! So help me, if you even get within an inch of that title I will hit you so hard you'll drop faster than TV ratings for a Mercy match!"

COLE-
"Okay. So, any final thoughts then?"

HELLINGS-
"Yeah, I have some advice for Stupac. Now, I know Stupac is afraid of losing his title to me. Stu knows I'm better than him. Just accept it, Stu. Accept it and give me and all The Boy Scouts out there what we want-the title! I know this cannot be easy for you Stu. So, here's my advice..."

(Hellings, intense, stares at the camera for a moment, before flashing a cocky smile for the folks at home.)

HELLINGS-
"Face your fears, Stu."

(Hellings, content with himself and full of confidence, then walks off. Fade to black.)
