THE BOY ADDS A STIPULATION -
BLAZE OF GLORY 2002
(The scene opens up inside the old PSI Bar and Grill. It is apparent that it hasn't been
open for quite some time. The place is dimly lit and we can see Scott "The Boy" Hellings
sitting at the bar. He is wearing an old pair of jeans and a black PSI shirt. RWW
reporter Michael Cole then enters the scene.)
COLE-
"Scott? I'm here. What announcement do you have to make about your match against Jay Zee?"
HELLINGS-
"Mick, let me tell you something. This past week at Capital Carnage, when I was beating
down Jay Zee with Jayson Gray, I realised something. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed beating Jay Zee,
especially considering he was the man who tried to put an end to my career all those years ago,
back in the Hart Dungeon. As I beat him, I knew right then and there, that not only would I beat Jay at Blaze
of Glory, I would destroy him! I'm going to end his career for good!"
COLE-
"I understand you have issues with Jay Zee, but why would you want to end his career?"
HELLINGS-
"Because he tried to hold me back! He was the one that almost made a wrestling career
for me impossible because of his scheming! Jay has always known that I was better than him and
it made him jealous. He wanted to make sure I would never make it in this business! Well now
it's time for some payback. An eye for an eye, Cole! He ruins my career, I ruin his!"
COLE-
"Is that your announcement then? That you are going to end Jay Zee's career at Blaze of Glory?"
HELLINGS-
"Of course not. See, when I was beating down Jay Zee and I realised I was going to end his career and
finally get my revenge on him. And that made me fell really great. But something was missing. See, PSI was created by Jay and my old
friend MC Tommy Dee. Then, when Jay had to take time off to rehab his knee injury, I took control of it. And
I took it places he could never imagine! I know it, you know it, the whole damn world knows it! But Jay
insists that PSI was never my own, that is was and always will belong to him. And that's when it hit me."
COLE-
"What?"
HELLINGS-
"Don't interrupt! I realised that even though I will end his career at Blaze of Glory, I will never
be done with him. He will always be a thorn in my side. Because once he's gone, I can claim to
be the one true leader of PSI. But I know Jay, and I know he will argue that fact with me. And even though
I will make it so he can never get into the ring with me to prove it, he will never leave me alone. The only
reason he returned to the ring was so that he could screw me over! He hated the fact that I was leading his
PSI and in the process made it far greater than when he was in control. Well let
me get this straight, I don't want to ever hear from this guy again! So, I'm gonna ensure that I won't have to after
Blaze of Glory!"
COLE-
"How?"
HELLINGS-
"Follow me."
(The Boy leads Michael Cole over to the old makeshift ring in the corner of the bar. He and his
former friends and PSI partners, MC Tommy Dee, Damon Gest and even the man he will face on Sunday, Jay Zee
trained in that very ring. The ring is in almost complete darkness and is hard to see. Scott turns on a light to
illuminate the ring. In the centre of the ring is a ladder, a table and a steel chair. Hanging above the ring
is a leather briefcase.)
COLE-
"What is this all about?"
HELLINGS-
"Jay likes to live in the past. He still goes around the backstage area telling anyone who will
listen how he is the greatest United States Champion ever. How he (making quotation marks with his
fingers) 'made that title.' And just his presence back here in RWW shows that he still thinks
he is at the level he once was, before his knee injury. Well I know for a fact that both he and his
little buddy Donte Rocker like to talk about a match they once had. Their TLC match that they had at April Sun last
year. The two of them reminisce about how it is the greatest match of all time!"
(The Boy pulls a remote control out of his pocket and then presses a button. All the TV
screens that surround the bar start showing a clip package from that very match.)
Jay Zee gets up and so does Rocker. Jay Zee gives him a clothesline. Jay Zee picks up Donte Rocker and throws him off the ropes. Jay Zee is going for a backbody drop. But Donte Rocker stops and picks up Jay Zee and hits him with a butterfly suplex. Donte Rocker is slowly getting back up and so is Jay Zee. Both men are now back up. Donte Rocker gives Jay Zee his version of a spear! Donte Rocker is on fire. Jay Zee is slowly getting up. Donte Rocker hooks up Jay Zee and there's a swinging neckbreaker. Donte Rocker goes for the pin on Jay Zee. 1... 2.... kickout by Jay Zee.
Donte Rocker picks up Jay Zee, but ‘Mr. Style’ gives the Sultan a jawbreaker to stop his momentum. The champion goes for a clothesline but Rocker ducks underneath and he hits the referee! The referee is down.
And here comes Kirk Slater!! Rocker has Jay Zee set up. And there's the Smash Hit!! Kirk Slater is sliding in the ring with the steel chair. Donte Rocker did not see Kirk Slater yet. Slater is going to hit Rocker in the back with the chair! Rocker blocks it! There's the Smash Hit on the chair! Slater is completely knocked out! The referee is back up. The ref is calling for officials to come out. Rocker turns around and Jay Zee delivers the Styledriver!!! Jay Zee goes for the cover. The referee turns around and sees it. 1... 2... 3!!
COLE-
"So what are trying to say?"
HELLINGS-
"I also know that Jay also competed in another TLC match once before. He and Tommy Dee beat
Stupac and Dan Coil on Monday Gold, August 6th, to retain the tag titles. That match was
the one that put the nail in the coffin for Jay's career. That match injured him so badly, that shortly
thereafter he retired. So, that's why I am making my match with Jay Zee a TLC match!"
COLE-
"I don't get it."
HELLINGS-
"Because! He says his greatest match was against Donte Rocker at April Sun in a TLC match! And the last time he was in a
TLC match, his career was almost ended! Therefore, I get to defeat him at his own game, so to speak, AND I get to ensure
that he will never wrestle again!"
COLE-
"Well, okay. But I'm confused. Neither you or Jay carry any title in Rampage World Wrestling. What will you have
suspended above the ring that you must grab to win?"
HELLINGS-
"That briefcase."
(The Boy points to the leather briefcase hanging above the ring.)
COLE-
"Okay. What's so special about that briefcase?"
HELLINGS-
"Inside that briefcase are legal documents. The person who wins the match, that being me, will then officially own the
trademark PSI! And once I climb that ladder and grab that very briefcase, I will not have only beat Jay so bad he will
never be able to wrestle again, but I will also humiliate him by taking away his precious PSI! And then I will never
have to worry about Jay Zee ever again!"
COLE-
"Well what makes you think Jay will agree to those stipulations?"
HELLINGS-
"That's the best part! He doesn't have to! Me and Mr. Gamble are like this (crosses his index and middle finger for
emphasis). If I want these stipulations, Mr. Gamble will make damn sure that I get those stipulations!"
COLE-
"That's not fair!"
HELLINGS-
"What's not fair is allowing a bunch of has-beens like Jay Zee and the rest of The Flabby Four come back to RWW! Those
guys are determined to take what is rightfully mine-the spotlight! Centre stage!"
COLE-
"You really are quite revolting. You know that, don't you?"
HELLINGS-
"No Donte Rocker and Stupac taking up my air time with all this respect garbage is revolting!"
COLE-
"Well I still don't think it's right that you are allowed to stack the odds against Jay Zee like this."
HELLINGS-
"Mick, the odds were stacked against him as soon as he agreed to our match. After all, I am The Boy and that means I am
The Best!"
COLE-
"Whatever. Can I go now?"
HELLINGS-
"I really wish you would. I really need to practice looking elated after I win on Sunday."
COLE-
"You're really full of yourself. You know that, right?"
(But The Boy doesn't answer Cole. He just climbs up the ladder, grabs
the briefcase and pretends to look happy. He continues practicing expressions with really fake, cheezy expressions of joy. Michael Cole
just shakes his head).
COLE
"I have to say it.....I hate you."
(Michael Cole walks off, leaving Scott behind. He is still standing on the ladder as he continues to practice his
facial expressions for after the match at Blaze of Glory. The camera then fades to black.)
