Wide awake
7 Jun. 04

Stress level peaked at about 99.9% last week. Had 2-4 hours sleep for two nights (for circumstances Im no longer concerned about) and heh, had my
18th two nights ago. Yeesh was that a bit of hell! Dont think it had to be but its my fault for making that way.

The gifts were as generous as they come and just so sincere. There were a lot of awkward moments I thought, heightened by surprise arrivals and I could list several other issues that arose but I wont gripe about it anymore. I did not want to be pitied and although I consider some as friends, being pitied on my
18th Birthday party (or anywhere else for that matter) is something I dont care for. Im sure they meant it in the best possible way but the other interpretation just wont go away. It was a strange, fast paced night and a little chaotic but my smiles of appreciation were genuine for the cousins, friends, classmates, ex-classmates, acquaintances and potential friends who attended or popped by to wish me happy birthday. It was so nice that I screwed up in my plans for a specific dessert and drink, a more-than-5-second sit-down with the various groups of friends, and a nice Birthday speech, bred among others.
People must have thought I was an unusual hostess and well, an unusual person in general. It all just rings so true that I can seriously laugh at myself for it.

Oh yeh, got my
Learners [car] Licence today (ticks all the way for that test!) and drove for half an hour. Hehe it was kind of exciting but I dont like the fact that you can only use one foot for the brakes and the accelerator. *scrunches up her face* My small stature (about 156cm/51 ?) didnt help much either. Couldnt see the road properly until I was kinda close to the wheel, which might be okay for me but maybe a little freaky for outside perceptions.       For a first lesson I did better than I thought I would. I swear I thought Id be an incompetent driver. My foot rather likes the accelerator just as much as the brakes so I dont know if thats a good or bad thing. *giggle*

But I was reassured by
Kyte (we had a fun sleepover that night), Emilia (the next day) and Sweet (tonight) that the party was really good, opposing my theory that it blowed. It was a very nice gesture but I remain unconvinced.
I can let it go with content though. Id be beat-less by now if I never do.

I really, really,
really need to reply to ABM and his *sniff sniff* excessively long email. Wait for me man! And of course his oh-so-cool adventures! Cracks me up.

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me-e lets just move on to the alcohol thanks!

Kickin
18. *sighs and smiles contently*

Oh,
Performing Arts night was last night and although some people thought it reeked of badliness, I thought it was fine. =) There was this traditional Samoan dance thing and it had just one of the most pumping audios Ive ever heard! It was like all beats and drums and the audience (including me) stamped our feet to it. It was truly spectacular, really was! The only real comedic act was from a boy who made a mockery of the hit kids TV show, Art Attack. It was sort of stupid funny but I think I was laughing with him more than I was at him. Most of the audience didnt share the same sentiments as I did though. lol. There was also a chick that danced to a Michael Jackson mega-mix and I reckon she did quite well. Which again, wasnt entirely a wide opinion. I thought it was a sharp, dynamic performance and she used the stage really well, better than last years Michael Jackson dance that was really kinda bad, not to mention uncreative. Ugh. lol. Fun night all up. It was refreshing to cheer so loudly and not feel alone doing so. =)

I want a tattoo (And by that Im actually asking people to send me suggestive potential tatt pics!
*laughs*)

Seems yellow-y oversized

Used
MSN messenger emoticons for the first post above and hm... Let me know if it should stay or be left for MSNers to feed on.

All about the good deeds ya see

Theres this guy I reckon I mentioned him once before I take the
T-Way bus with, normally late. Today he dropped some of his coins and didnt have enough for the T-Way so he asked me if I had some change. He didnt seem too threatening or dangerous so I told him Id pay for his fare. Talked for a bit, Re: Telstra Stadium, floating bird (no I mean seriously it was like National Geographic where you get to see animals stalk their prey!), T-Way 10, sectors, prices, and he called me a lifesaver.

=)

I was having a good day and I really was on a roll, mentally. His last comment
just made my day.

Sometimes it just has to roll 180 degrees

Im not gonna gripe about school. Im not gonna gripe about school. Im not gonna gripe about school. Im not gonna zzaghhh
*twitch*

Been following a comic strip for a couple of weeks as an alternative to
Oh My Gods! (for which I no longer read) and the late Movie Punks (R.I.P), Loserz just pulls at my inevitable giggle-ness. *giggle* But ugh! This fanart just reeks of creativity unpersonified. lol.

Here are some
odd facts during a period  (excuse the pun! Man Im goood hehe) of odd times.

So yay! The
ski trip is gonna be trippin afterall! Bit of a spew over the surprising 500-D quote and I thought all was lost but no yes we will be going. =D So Ill be away from the 7th to the 10th-ish. No real fuss though. lol.

Ive just re-emerged from a slumber I unknowingly slept in on
DeviantArt, so now Ill be posting my art up there, probably more so than my personal site (not this one). Itd also be good to have a wide range of people comment about my work and vice-versa. The site really is a brilliant concept to celebrate (for lack of a better word) how far weve come in art, art making and art perceptions.

Kudos.

Uh just ew for now

Um apparently a woman gave birth to a frog.
*looks a little baffled*

Yeah, you and me both I never thought that was humanly possible because of our superior genes. Hehehe. I actually do hope it isnt true but either way Im only 50% sure based on hearsay and I cant find any articles on it at this present time. However, this would definitely raise some ethical issues. Does a mutant whos half human and half animal be able to live that way? Its getting all very
Dark Angel me thinks. Heh. *clears throat* But seriously, weve had all these controversial issues about stem cell research in cloning, embryonic alterations, etc. where it is probably realistically possible to give birth to a frog. Of course it may have been fiddled and tiddled around a bit before it was implanted to give birth rather than just you know, give birth without and poking and proddling and that in itself is scary. Im a person who is unlikely to fight for stem cell research BTW. Perhaps a topic for another day

But oh
george, ew.
