TALL & HIGH  RISE

After the destruction of WTC towers in New York by crashing aircraft and the catastrophic crumbling of the buildings it does seem that unexpected conditions can never be accounted for.

On the other hand the low technology construction in putting up medium height buildings requires a good layout of the structural arrangement and a proper consideration of a number of aspects brought up in 'Analysis' and 'Design'.

I think the introduction of basement(s) should only be done after proper design features have been placed in the building.

Toppling of a building on an adjoining building is another consideration which should not be ignored.

Effects of combined behavior with adjacent & adjoining buildings if ignored during planning stage can result in un imaginable catastrophes which seem most unlikely, especially to those buildings at the end of the row!
