This meeting was held on September 9, 1995 at Max's Allegheny Tavern. Bill Bairl had been challenged to bring back the full story regarding James M. Hubbard, composer of the RR&R theme song, "My Last Cigar." Bill dragged his very pregnant wife to New Haven, Connecticut, last known address of Mr. Hubbard, where he discovered a number of alarming discrepancies between reality and Mr. Hubbard's version thereof. One discover was an alternate tune for the song. Ron DiOrio did a bit of poking around the Harvard library and came to the conclusion that Hubbard never attended Harvard as he claimed.
