Dennis is a charter member of the RR&R Lair No. 1 and is a signer of the RR&R constitution. He completed his Rascal's Challenge at the 3rd Quarter 1994 meeting. He also gave a non-Challenge presentation at the Fourth Quarter 1995 meeting. For many years, he was a professor of Italian at the University of Pittsburgh. He served a six-year term on the Ephorate.
