Jeff became a member of Lair No. 1 of the RR&R on. He hosted the 1995 RR&R Constitutional Convention and is a signer of the document created at his house. Jeff won the first J. Z. Landgraf Prize at the 1995 Mass Challenge. He completed his Rascal's Challenge at the 1st Quarter 1997 meeting. He is the winner of the first J. Z. Landgraf Prize, with his discovery of Lenny the water mite on the Pennsylvania/Ohio border.
