A wise man once said.. "The pen is mightier than the sword".. and I believe there is no truer words. A skillful writer can transform a reader to another time and demension. They can emit sounds, smells, tastes and touch sensations that are so powerful it is hard to believe it not to be true. As they can speak of love.. hate.. anger and fear so intense that your emotions become awaken. I have always loved poetry and appreciate the talent of those who can make words come alive. Over the years I have written a few of my own as well as some short stories. Althought they are rough around the edges, my friends enjoyed them and encouraged me to keep writing. Each artist has a unique style in the way they relate their thoughts and experineces. This is but the tip of the iceburg among the many works written by countless artists. Perhaps by reading a few chosen works, it will inspire you to explore farther, or create your own.
