Downtown Houston

Most Americans over the age of thirty remember Larry Hagman as the oil man that America loved to hate in his portrayal of J.R. Ewing in the television show DALLAS. However, I have always wondered why they called the show DALLAS. DALLAS should have been HOUSTON. Houston is the oil capital of Texas not Dallas. Downtown Houston is where the big oil and energy companies have their offices. Shell, Exxon, Chevron, and Reliant are just a few of the names that employ many Houstonians. If you dont remember DALLAS, I bet you remember Enron. Maybe, Hollywood could start a new show based on this Houston Company.

Houston has one of most beautiful and modern skylines in the United States. I guess this can be attributed to the oil and energy companies based in Downtown Houston. Please note: Texas does not have a State Income Tax.
