Chapter 9

Thexous slowly awoke to the birds chirping outside the window. He found he was lacking an extra body. His dark eyes slipped open, searching the bed for his companion, he found her missing. Strolling back into the room, Amarra found Thexous wake.

"Good Morning."

Thexous's brow rose as his eyes laid on her. Her bangs were over her right eye, like normal, but something had changed. Her hair was now as long as her bangs, which went to her chin. Her now shorter hair was messily styled. She shook her head and gave a shrug.

"I needed a change...

She replied to the question in his eyes. She crawled back onto the bed, toeing her shoes off as her black pants buckled under her. She also had on a black long sleeve shirt but the neck was a box shape which exposed the skin on her left shoulder. There was a now present mark, in black, on her flesh. It was vertical; the top mark looked almost like a wide, spiraled fish hook while the bottom was just a slightly wavy line. Thexous's fingers brushed it; it was a symbol from Amarra's old clan.

"Do you think Maeglin and Ayla have departed yet?"

Thexous blinked, his brow raised once again. "Why?"

Amarra smiled as she placed her elbows on his chest, propping her head up on her hands.

"I wanted to tell Maeglin of something else I want him to get me..."

A curious brow rose from Thexous as he watching the woman before him, her eyes had slipped closed and she looked like she was focusing on something.

"You called for me Amarra-dono?"

Maeglin questioned as he slipped into her room from her office, where he found Amarra and Thexous, her orange eyes looked at him through lazy, half open lids.

"Good... You haven't left yet. I need you to pick me up one more thing; you can grab a few more anates from that box over there."

Maeglin nodded as he went to the box, pulling free 5 more anates.

"So what do you want me to get you?"

A soft smirk came to her lips.

"A leather collar..." Not only did Maeglin's eyes widen in worried curiosity but so did Thexous's, she let a sharp laugh.

"Boys... She shook her head a little, making them out to be dirty little perverts.

Oh, and don't forget another pair of handcuffs..."

Maeglin's brow cocked as his golden hues shifted between Thexous and Amarra.

"What happened to the others?"

The draco inquired.

"We broke them..." She laughed as Maeglin's eyes got wider, the raven-haired dragon stared at Thexous, whom just rolled his eyes in a reply.

"No... I really want you to get me two small daggers, the Daiki Diomes and the Daiki Sekido. The two blades have the same impossible detailing but the Diomes has an onyx circle on the top while the Sekido has a Crystal Diamond."

Maeglin nodded, but a question a rose in his mind.

"But what if I don't find them?"

Amarra laughed and closed her eyes, her head thumping back against Thexous's chest.

"They will be there, worry not."

The draco nodded and moved from the room to go and rouse Ayla.

"Enjoying each others company? Slumber, Ayla?"

Maeglin's soft voice came from behind the two. When Maeglin had made his way into Ayla's room to find no one there, he had to pause himself for a moment and quiet this thoughts, it was then he found Slumber and Ayla out in the courtyard portion of the garden. She turned and gave a bright smile to the draco.

"Morning! Are we going to leave soon?"

The raven-haired draco gave a nod, and Ayla laughed lightly, hopping up.

"I'm going to go get dressed then!"

And she dashed off in the direction of the manor Amarra owned. ::Koen!!!:: She called merrily. ::We are leaving soon!:: Maeglin's gold eyes looked to Slumber.

"She seems so much happier then the past day..."

Maeglin made the soft note to his companion.

"I.... kind of... feel sorry for her..."

Gentle words came from Slumber, Maeglin nodded and placed a hand on Slumber's shoulder, a barely noticed wince appeared on the blue-haired assassins face, something Maeglin failed to noticed before turning off in the direction of which Ayla had vanished.

----

::Oh really?:: Jach replied as he fixed himself a bowl of sticky rice and Portuguese sausage. ::I hope I can find you...:: He said to her as he began to eat, heading for the entrance to the courtyard. Now that the commotion settled and Mateo didn't have to break up on of Koli and Al's fight, he made his way into Yavie's room, finding the princess still asleep as if the disturbance never happened. Mateo moved over to the bed and knelt beside it, his fingers lovingly brushing her cheek. She tossed a little but pushed into his hand, her small fingers curling around his as her hand cupped kind of over his, holding it closer to her skin.

"Good Morning Baby..."

She whispered softly and Mateo was caught off guard, his breathing falling irregular again, just like the previous night. He gave her a smile as he rested his chin on the edge of the bed.

"You missed quite the show this morning. Koli and Alphonse had another one of their mornings..."

Yavie chuckled, she's heard a lot about these legendary mornings when their personalities collide.

"Yavie... I have a question for you..."

Mateo's quiet voice breaking her thoughts.

"Hmm?" Her eyes moved to Mateo. His blue eyes locking with hers.

"Well... from... Mateo blushed a little, his thoughts fleeing his mind before he could grasp them. "A...are... w...we?" He choked a little and Yavie smiled. She lent forward, placing a small kiss on his lips.

"Yes." If it was physically possible, the boy would have turned to goo. There was a soft noise behind him, confusing both Yavie and Mateo. He made a small glance back, a soft dirty-blonde tail wagging behind him. He made a noise and it vanished.

"What was that?"

"My Tail..."

Yavie just giggled lightly.

----

Ayla quickly got dressed in part of the clothes given to her and part from her own clothes. She was given a pretty black spaghetti strap dress, the skirt falling to her mid-thigh. She slipped her blue jeans on under it. She tore the sleeves from her old shirt and made them into elbow long gloves, tying them to her arms with some black ribbons she found on the vanity. A soft knock came to her door.

"Come in!"

In wandered Maeglin, a soft smile on his face as his golden eyes fell on her.

"You remind me of someone I once knew..."

Ayla blinked, her eyebrow rising as she slipped her heeled boots on.

"If I may ask, who?"

Maeglin smiled upon the memory.

"My first and only love, a young elf girl by the name of Teshyra. I haven't seen her since the great war about a hundred years ago..."

A soft sigh came from the draco.

"I don't even know if she is still alive, I gave up hope fifty years ago after fifty years of searching..."

He looked back to Ayla who seemed in a lost daze before she moved to Maeglin, sliding her arms around the confused draco's neck, pulling him down so her whisper was heard.

"She's alive, My child..." She whispered into his ear. "Ainroia..."

She stepped away from the dragon and her eyes un-glistened, and as if nothing happened she smiled, bouncing for the door.

"Come! Let us go!!"

The poor draco was so confused, but the only conclusion his mind could draw was it was Him speaking through her.

"Wait, Miss Ayla... come here."

The brunette paused, turning on her toes, she came back to him. He took a hold of her wrist and they vanished, appearing on the roof. Ayla blinked and glanced to Maeglin.

"I can only teleport two people short distances..."

Maeglin then moved from her and began to glow. Ayla was amazed at the sight before her, Maeglin's body structure began to change and mold into a large black dragon.

"Climb on and hold tight."

Ayla was a bit awe-struck but quickly moved over to the dragon, climbing on to his neck and then sat on his shoulders, holding on to his long black hair. "W-what are you?"

Maeglin's large dragon mouth curled into a smirk. "A draco." He replied before he took off. ::Draco's are a amazing race...!:: Ayla quickly spoke to Jach as she held on tightly.

----

He blinked as he bit into a sausage. Jach was now sitting on the roof of the Cathedral, enjoying the city view. ::Draco? I'm a draco...:: He curiously wondered how she came to know about the race. ::How do you know about the Draco?::

----

She blinked, curious of his question but excited about Jach's race. This world was so big and had so many wondrous things to it. ::Wow, That's amazing! I'm riding a dragon right now. His name is Maeglin.::

----

Jach blinked and that made him almost choke on his food. ::What color is he?::

----

She blinked once more. ::He is big and black.::

----

Jach gave himself a mental nod as he kept a dark eye open for a black dragon on the horizon, in case they come to Tusla.
