Chapter 13

Ayla twirled a little in front of the tall mirror. She was in a short skirt, which was white and a tight, long sleeve, thin white top. The outfit she tried on before was a dark gray color; the bottom of the skirt was trimmed with a beautiful silver color. The white skirt was the same but the silver trim was also on the ends of the top's sleeves. The grey top was short sleeve but it had grey elbow gloves that lacked the finger part of the gloves, so it ended at about her palms. When Ayla looked up to the mirror, her pale green hues saw a taller man behind her and immediately knew it wasn't Maeglin. The draco she had come here with wasn't much taller than her. Panic consumed her mind and she was about to call for Maeglin when the figure slipped his hand over her mouth and his face fell to her ear.

"Shush...Shush, Where is that draco you were with?"

//Oh my, It's that dirty old merchant from the trinket kiosk... wait, how does he know abou--- Koen!// The voice finally clicked in her mind. ::He is just outside of the dressing room, about 2 meter's away...:: When Ayla told him that, he took his hand off her mouth. The girl then turned and smiled at Jach, a small blush caressing his tan cheeks, as she held her hand out to him.

"It's.... nice to finally meet you... in person.."

He gave her a soft smile back and brought her hand to his lips, placing a soft kiss on it. A small blush came to her cheeks as his white inverted hues, under the goggles, looked back to her, but to her, it was the same kind of dark eyes she's seen before.

"If you two are quite finished, Maeglin needs to get the girl back to Amarra."

Ayla peered over Jach's shoulder to find Thexous and Maeglin behind him. Then her eyes darted between Jach and Thexous. Her head tilted as her eyes widened as she realized something. They looked almost identical. If you looked close, you could see Thexous's dark, dark brown roots and the color of their eyes were identical, it was something Ayla could see through the goggle's dark lenses, the curves of their faces...

"...twins..." She muttered as Jach turned, his back now to Ayla. A smirk came to his lips as he looked to Thexous.

"So we meet again. Thexous, was it?"

Although the ebon-haired draco was just there to protect the girl, he was boiling for some bloodshed, after all the commotion with Kafei this morning, the smell of blood has been lingering in his nose.

"You can still see? I am amazed....

He paused, awaiting a name. But when nether spoke, a massive power force appeared between the two, the energy was identical.

Jach Demonte.

Thexous smirked, amused that his counterpart spoke first.

Thexous Fox.

Ayla's eyes began to glaze as the two stared daggers between them, both in a frozen state, cautious about movement. //....Koen..... Korbin... ... DYCE!// The girl awoke from her standing trace.

"Dyce... twins..."

She looked down, her eyes glazing once more.

"Dra fattorino yin dra fynneun...."

And that's when Maeglin, who had gathered her items, used magic to put her own unique clothing back on her, teleporting the two back into the store to pay for her new clothes. Thexous and Jach were frozen in place, glaring at each other, both having heard Ayla whisper their titles, even though nether had heard the name of each other. As Maeglin was paying, Ayla's eyes remained on the door to the dressing room.

"I have to tell them, Maeglin."

The draco was half listening to her, his thought process was more focused on what else they needed to purchase. //Maybe a weapon... some armor.// He was trying to get her out of there as quickly as he could. Things always got ugly when Thexous became angry and he didn't want the poor girl to get caught up in that.

"They will kill each other if I don't tell them..."

Her voice began to sound distressed.

"Where?"

Thexous was the first to speak up.

"Follow."

Jach replied and quickly vanished, appearing in the open fields a few hundred kilometers away from the city. The dark eyed assassin appeared soon after and that caused Jach to slip into a fight stand, one of his fists slipped to rest above his hip, while the other extended out towards Thexous, his legs were perfectly straight and together. The extended hand he turned palm up and made a motion for Thexous to come at him. The other smirked and did exactly that, charged at him with full force. He ducked and slipped quickly up under the brunette's guard, resting in his shadow, but the draco was quickly fooled when the other grabbed his upcoming foot.

"You will need to be better than that."

With a grunt, Jach slung the assassin up and over his shoulder, forcing him face first towards the ground. He released Thexous's foot after he got his face full of dirt. He slowly rose, wiping the blood and dust away before he fell into a familiar stance, his knees bent, his legs shoulder width apart, his right hand was in front of his face, palm out while his left was crossing in front of his right, also palm out. From his guarding hands began to slither out his claws, taking the place of his finger nails. They were thick and bent just slightly, they were also long, about three and a half inches.

"Another Draco... fun."

The brunette muttered to himself as his own claws began to slowly emerge. Thexous then lunged at the other draco but found his hands locked with Jach's, the two fighting a push power struggle. As their eyes locked, Thexous slipped under Jach's guard. Thexous kicked his own feet out from under himself, twisting his body in a seemingly uncomfortable way and then sliding it under Jach's legs, in turn flipping the draco onto his back. their hands still locked, Thexous flipped the other over him and flung him into the ground like a rag doll. Kneeling, Thexous preformed a string of Draconic hand signs, pressing his palms to the ground as the ground began to eat the rising Jach. Looking to the devouring ground, the dragon panicked as he vanished into the dark depths.

"Checkmate."

The assassin smirked. But those were words muttered all to soon as the ground then began to crumble under him and Jach emerged at an accelerated force, undercutting the overly confident draco.

"Don't be so cocky."

Jach said as he grabbed Thexous's foot pulling him to ground while digging his talons into the other's leg. As soon as the draco hit the ground, Jach pinned him with his foot, then he was over come with a massive sense of deja vu. Almost subconsciously, he began to push down on the others ribs as Thexous dug his claws into Jach's calf, groaning in pain. Three or four cracks were heard before the raven-haired draco threw Jach's balance off and tackled onto the draco as he hit the ground, the assassin's broken ribs throbbing.

They had been fighting for about twenty minutes, but the frail freen grass looked like a blood bath. Thexous had several puncture holes in his neck and collarbone, a broken nose, four broken ribs, three broken fingers, several tears on his arms and legs, and a fractured ankle. Jach wasn't any better with an identical neck wound, the left lens of his goggles were smashed and the flesh was bruising into a black eye, and he also had a cross shaped scar on his left cheek. He had a single broken rib as well as a fractured one, two broken fingers, a fractured forearm with cuts along his arms, large talon holes in his right calf and several broken toes. And yet, the two were still standing, ready to attack at any moment. Jach was blinded his right eye since the left was swollen shut and Thexous was feeling dizzy from the blood lost from his nose.

"I haven't had a fight this good in a long time..."

The dark eyed boy called to the other draco, Jach couldn't help but curl his lips into a smirk.
