Chapter 14

The two had strolled from the clothing shop until they came to the armor and weapon shop, which was oddly the Zaybin. Ayla had changed into her white outfit, a pair of knee high black boots, and a light weight elfish dragon scale mail. The armor itself was clear and hid very well under her top, skirt and boots. The weapon she picked out she held over her shoulder. It was a hybrid-kingbird/perfect composite longbow with an extremely rare couple of spells that made it stronger and it had the possbility of instantly killing her opponent. She also had a quiver of oridecon arrows. After Maeglin had paid for the items, the two turned and headed for the door. But as soon as the Zaybin door closed, the girl fell to the ground, holding her ribs, the pain surged all through her body. Maeglin came to her side.

"Are you okay?"

She debated, then rose, her body was shaking, Maeglin rising up next to her.

"I will be..." He eyed her carefully, watching before he changed the topic.

"We have an anate left, anything you want?" She thought for a moment. //Other then some pain killer?//

"A violin." The draco gave a nod and led her down the quiet street which was lined, on the side with the river, with Akusa, which Ayla thought they looked a lot like Cherry Blossoms. As they strolled along, the pain grew and new points came, like in her shoulder, her arm and the left side of her neck. Tears began to fall down her cheek as they walked. Suddenly, Ayla clung to Maeglin, holding on to him just before they got to the instrument shop, her breathing was abnormal and she seemed to be in a lot of pain.

"Ayla, what's wrong?" She shook her head as a soft sound of pain came from her and she slipped again to her knees.

"I...need to...find them..." Maeglin blinked, moving to her side.

"Who?" Tears began to fall from her eyes again, the hot droplets falling to the backs of her palms.

"It... it hurts... so bad..." She said, not exactly answering his question. "I...have to get to them..."

The tone of panic drenching her voice. Maeglin soon took her by the shoulders and shook her gently. "Who?"

"Jach and Thexous... I can not... They must be stopped..."

The tears became more rapid as large, white feathery draconic wings appeared on her back. This proved only one thing to Maeglin, was that she was who Amarra-dono claimed she was. While the draco's claim to worship a unique faith, Maeglin found it was identical to Christianity save the draco deity was female, but Maeglin knew which was correct. Yet he couldn't help but wonder if the draco faith was the twin book to revelations, since "Born from a virgin woman he came, come from a virgin woman he shalt return." A quote from the sister book and the white wing color couldn't be faked.

While in all normality, Draco wings and tails, as well as their color as dragons, matched that of their hair color. The only time that didn't apply was with children born with white hair, their wings were as black as the children with black hair, like him. Ayla took off, soaring through the sky, yet oddly invisible to the people below. Maeglin fretted on what to do, putting a cloaking spell on and spread his own wings, following her.

Blood splattered on the smashed green grass as Jach knelt, vomiting up blood from a wound that the assassin just inflicted but the draco didn't get away scot-free, he got two fingers to the trachea and was struggling for a breath. Jach hasn't even gotten this good of a fight out of Alphonse, the one at the cathedral with the shortest temper. The two were rising when a large shadow over cast their area of the field and began to grow smaller as it descended from the sky. Ayla landed in what seemed to be a blood bath, as if about twenty men had fought there, a few dying. Their eyes seemed drawn to hear. She was an innocent white angel standing in a sea of crimson.

"Why? Why do you have to fight? What reasons have you?"

By this time, the girl was feeling the pain two fold, tears falling down her cheeks. Thexous and Jach exchanged glances. The brunette fought because of the past. Thexous seemed to have similar reasons for fighting the other draco, the rage fumed in his eyes just thinking about the thoughts of disappointing Amarra. Ayla crippled to her knees, gripping the blood stained grass in clumps.

"Pointless... Father... Help me tell them..." She sobbed softly to herself.

"Do you not know?" She called, her voice straining as she yelled the same question waiting for an answer. Confused, they both continued to watch her.

Yavie and Mateo were sitting in the gardens, just talking when Yavie collapsed against Mateo. She was gripping at the cloth around her neck, as if it was causing her the surge of pain.

"What is it? What's wrong?"

Tears came form her as she covered the symbol.

"She's distressed... She's calling for me..."

Mateo looked confused, he didn't know what to do, they didn't know where the Larucah was... or even what she looked like. So Mateo rested her head on his leg, allowing her to stretch out on the bench.
