BASKETBALL PLAYERS AND ACHIEVING GREATNESS

The media criticizes the basketball for their lack of effort and fundamentals.  However the players play as much basketball as ever.  They do the work in the weight rooms, they shoot around for fun, and they do all the training basketball.  A main aspect that they are forgetting is the basic fundamentals of the game.  The reason people lack here is because of failure to change.  Instead of changing what they need to they strive for the representations of greatness.  "Failure is not fatal, although failure to change might be." There was a young boy named Mathew Glynn, he was not the best basketball player in the world although his work ethic was marvelous.  Coming through high school he didn't have the best shooting percentage or anything of that caliber.  While he was in college he would run on the tread mill everyday, he would be in the weight room all the time, and he would shoot a thousand shots a day with each.  He was successful because of his ability to change.  This is the main point of the article.  In order to achieve greatness it is important to have the ability to change in order for the good.  Mathew ended up being the MVP in the division III league in California.

GREATNESS SUITS HIM

Greatness suits him Reggie Bush today is one of the greatest players to come out of College history people are saying.  He has come up from so many upsetting points in his life and yet he still shows greatness on the field.  His biological father left him early in mothers pregnancy.  During football games he writes 619 which is the area code of San Diego, this he says remind him of where he comes from.  This story is just about a small time boy who made it big.  I feel this story is relevant to the side of greatness because it shows no matter how broken down someone's earlier life was, it is still possible to pursuer your dream.
