National Jamboree

The National Jamboree was held at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia. This was from July 22 - August 3. This is a military instalation that left the Scouts use a portion of. There was over 45,000 scouts that attened this event and when the president spoke there was more than 75,000. There was many exciting things to do, such as repelling, scuba, bike-atholon, army exhibit, COPE coarse, obstacle coarse and a whole more. There was water-front activies as well as pioneering activites. There was demonstrations on ecology and environment controll as well. There was sooooo much to do. There was a merit badge midway, where you could have earned any merit badge you wanted. Patch trading was huge. Many kids spent a lot of time patch trading. We all had a great time.
