....I have wonderful magic memories of these two litter sisters....
1970s - 1980s - I was married and had a family by this stage and my husband and I purchased a lovely sable female who we called "Tiffany".  The children loved her and she returned their love tenfold.  My parents were so enraptured with her they purchased her litter sister (also a sable as is obvious from the picture) and called her "Sheba".

We made sure both Tiffany and Sheba saw a lot of each other as they loved to play and socialise.  This turned out to be a blessing in disguise when my parents retired and decided to travel to the NSW central coast.

It was agreed that I would take Sheba to enable Mum and Dad to stay in a caravan.

As fate would have it, Mum and Dad decided to permanently relocate to the coast so consequently Sheba became part of our home.  Mum would only relocate on the condition I take Sheba.  I certainly did not need any convincing as Sheba had already settled in so well.

Tiffany and Sheba were the most beautiful pair.  Tiffany was more along the reserved line of Lassie whilst Sheba was a true socialite.  These two accompanied us each weekend when we went to the river and always looked the worse for wear when we returned home.

It was necessary during the water ski season for them to be professionally groomed each month.  The above picture was taken during one of our weekends at the river.  I would hazard a guess it was taken at the beginning of the weekend as their coats were reasonable.

These two collies captured hearts wherever they went.  We were heartbroken when we lost Tiffany at 10 years, then Sheba at 12 years. Whilst 10 - 12 years is really a good age for a collie it just never seems long enough.  My memories of these two will never fade.

These beautiful girls were so typical of everything we love about the collie breed.
